Cowboys first sports franchise in the world to be worth $8 billion

And for those that think all of Jerry Jones money is tied up in the Boys, from various estimates he has like 3-4 BILLION in other investments.

His new worth is around $12 billion.

Which still leaves him like 4th in the NFL after the sale of the Broncos to one of the Walton Brats. That particular brat is worth around $60 billion, depending on what the Walmart stock is doing any particular day.

It is not like they are allowed to spend all of that on players. You have heard of the salary cap. All teams are equal there no matter the value of the franchise.

Jerry is allowed to spend more money on a head coach. McCarthy is getting $4 million a year which is way below what some of the top coaches are getting. If the team wasn’t pulling in so much money he likely would’ve gotten rid of Garrett a lot sooner and would do more in free agency. Go back and look at all the moves Jerry made when he first bought the team. To fill the stadium and to get a new stadium he knew he had to win.

Garrett was like a step son so he screwed up big time on that. It had nothing to do with how many $$$ he profited.

So you think paying some HC with a name $10 million a year makes a winning team?

The point is if fans weren’t coming to the games in droves and merchandise sales were down Jerry would’ve gotten rid of Garrett after his 3rd straight 8-8 season. No head coach keeps their job after three straight 500 seasons. Not paying a head coach what the top coaches are getting tells me his coaches continue to be mostly spectators that have little control. Jerry certainly isn’t going to pay a coach what some of these coaches are making if he’s making most of the calls.

Yes, Garrett should have been gone, 3 straight win and in seasons, but lost and hence the 8-8 seasons, he should have been fired.

He should’ve been fired but with the team just moving into a new stadium fans were packing it regardless how the team was playing. The Cowboys were four games under 500 from 2010 to 2013 and the team continued to rake in the money.

This is amazing. A sports franchise that hasn't accomplished anything in decades to be worth so much. Jerry bought the Cowboys in 1989 for a then-record $150 million. Yet some in here call Jerry "dumb". :lmao2:

Just think how much the team could be worth if we were any good.

LLLOOOLLL, who has the GIF over the little boy looks like from the Little Rascals throwing money out the window.

Wouldn't it be awesome to be Bezos, Buffet, Gates or even that arsehole Zuckerberg and be able to hand Jerry a cashier's check for $10B for the keys.? LOL, even at that price Jerry will not relinquish this team. He is able to just print money, as much as he needs with the franchise, stadium, parking, concessions, luxury suites, merchandise, etc.... He would be a fool to give all that up for one $10B payoff. Unfortunately......:banghead:

and thats the bottom-line for Jerrah. Winning is just an afterthought, cherry on top. But he is indifferent win lose or draw. No matter what he tries to spin.

Jerry is extremely dumb when it comes to managing a football team. That is one of his titles, GM.

Yep. Some really believe his whole act of wanting to win. But a nearing 3 decade chain of events says otherwise. Jerry will let this franchise rot in the ground in terms of winning if he can't win it his way, which he can't.

The saying used to be "build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door".

With Booger it is "hey y'all keep buying those tickets and merch cuz we gonna catch us that ole mouse someday real soon".

Cha-Ching!!! $$$$$$$$$$

 That's pretty crazy. The Cowboys are the first team with 1 billion in revenue.

Yet - some CZers every year after the Super Bowl keep predicting the demise of the NFL just because the tv ratings fall a few million short of the record - not realizing many fans watch the game now through various internet outlets - plus the unaccountable number of people who go to someone's homes or sports bars to watch (like me).

The percentage of people watching all sports is down on the network level
Its highly questionable that loss is made up elsewhere.
There are so many choices anymore in all areas in all ways
