Cowboys-Forum refugee

I'm from the CF and it just got worse there kinda forgot I was a member here cool site

Bringin' the party to your house but you need to stock the cooler. I think Otis got the last beer. That's him in my avatar and the only time I get access to the remote is when we do the beer exchange.

Last week he made me play "Bridge of Spies" and walk a beer to him as he walked the remote to me in the backyard. Then we discovered I had locked us out. We watched the Miami game (working the topic in until I know y'all better) through the window until he finished his beer and made me break it to get him another.

Wait, is Otis the cat, or the spread-Eagle guy from the first avatar pic? Do I even want to know?

I'm confused by the banter from this other forum. And everybody's got changing aliases and and is swapping avatars every few minutes. It's making me Donnovan-McNabb-in-a-Superbowl uncomfortable over here. I think I might throw up some soup.

LOL, Otis is the cat. I couldn't find him when I first signed up and had to go find his pic again. He's been my avatar for quite some time because he best represents what I used to look like watching us screw the pooch game after game. After a while, it's just being conditioned but no more. We will return to 2014 form and we will win the East.

Hey, you might want to group all the refugees together so you can keep an eye on us. No one was stopping us from leaving over there, if that tells you anything.

I'm biased, but this is the best Cowboys forum I've come across on the internet, by far. Each forum's a bit different, but we've got a good combination of a lot of active posters and a wide range of viewpoints. We *are* more family-friendly than a lot of sites are, though, so I'd recommend looking through the forum rules before actively posting. Language, personal insults, or racial/sexual insensitivity trip up some new users. Especially just linking to cool football-related vids that contain prohibited language. So, heads-up.

Looking forward to having you guys here and having you active.

No, he kept the TV on The Discovery Channel and chuckled when the big cats would make a kill, then he'd pause, clear his throat and say "so, what were you planning to do if you survive"? He also told me that Feline Walking Dead is coming out this fall.

If you notice, this pic of him has the beer in the right paw and remote in the left, whereas the old pic was reversed. It is as I feared, Otis is ambidextrous. But, it gets worse, he can also use either his left or right paw.

Sup Dave, Im from CF also (Colt .45)......I still go to CF (Since Im Staff and well, kinda hard to break an 8 yr habit of goin there everyday)...but Im definitely here at the Zone alot more nowadays.....This place kinda reminds me of what the CF used to be like pre 2009......I love it....

What happened in 09, other than Booger's Boy draft? In fact, we'd have been better off letting a boy band make those picks. I do recall your moniker on the other forum.

The forum Im talkin about, and where Dave came from as well, is Cowboys-forum.com.....We got hacked in 2009 by a Saints fan after we ended their undefeated season, we lost a whole mess of our members. (probably to here and DC.com) before the hack, we were right up there with CZ in terms of members and active members, amount of topics, etc. (not sure of DC.com's popularity).....

Oh, I thought he came from the one I just left. Imagine someone from New Orleans having the acumen to do that. If it had been someone from Philly, they would have hacked themselves and their team site and you guys would have stayed up and running. Sorry that happened, easy to get attached to one's Cowboys forum and the folks there.

There have been a handful of us migrating over from DC.com and most will probably maintain two memberships but I won't have that as one, unless they talk dirty to me. I do like what I've seen here so far but I also want a not so "family friendly" one. I have a daily cussing quota and am not meeting that here.

That said, I never put CZ online to be the biggest or most popular site. I just wanted a place where Cowboys fans could get together and discuss the Cowboys without the trolls and insults.

I looked up some numbers, I guess youre right, although in early 2007 the member count was CZ almost 9k and CF almost 7k, CZ had almost twice as many threads and posts though....All I know is, at one point, I think it was before 2006, the CF was close to becoming the official forum of the Cowboys, (or so we were always told) obviously that never happened and Im not sure why. But CF used to look almost exactly like CZ before 2009.....Rant rooms, very active off-topic forum and General sports forums yr round etc.....couldnt keep a thread on page 1 very long, family friendly (although Im not a big proponent of that), no trolls, etc....after 2009 CF lost at least 1/2 to 3/4 of its members, and by 2015 was like a ghost town....now its essentially dead, being 247sports now.....I used to say "I could never find another place like CF for my Cowboys addiction" but obviously, it was very easy afterall.....
