With the media, yes it would.

Garrett will survive 2013 after he gets this team to the playoffs and wins a game.
I'll just have to assume you meant to say "if," and not "after"

I think Garrett enters this season on the hot seat, I don't think it is any hotter than any other coach on the list.

This team will need to win big for Jason to remain. I'm not a so called hater or in love fest with Garrett. My stance is and has been consistent and that is if you hire a HC you give them the time to do the job. As Garrett enters his 3rd year as HC I think it is a must that this team makes it to post season and advance.

I don't mean to start any issues in the room but I guess this is the preception from the outside or at least from Coaches Hotseat.com. No surprises considering the moves that have been made. Hope JG can shut them up.

The top seven on the list, in order:
1. Jason Garrett, Dallas
2. Rex Ryan, NY Jets
3. Jim Schwartz, Detroit
4. Ron Rivera, Carolina
5. Dennis Allen, Oakland
6. Mike Munchak, Tennessee,

7. Joe Philbin, Miami

LMAO, BLOW IT UP JERRRUHH!!

No it would not because he can't be on the hot seat...

Of course we are #1 because drama always sells. You can't get any more dramatic than the Cowboys.

I don't think there is any hidden agenda with this list. Redball deserves to be in the top 3 of any list of coaches on the hot seat.

when you are "in the family portrait" and still on the hot seat with jerry, that should tell you the kind of piss-poor job you are doing

Sounds about right, playoffs or bust for JG.

This.

I also see that outside of Detroit, and maybe Cam with Carolina, that we are the only teams with a good QB. Very telling.

It is funny how Karma works I believe he sabotaged Wade Phillips to get him fired. Now he is looking over his shoulder with the recent coach hires.

Well, considering Rex Ryan has been gifted Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow, and their GM sucks.. He did get his team to the AFC championship game and is, contrary to popular belief, well respected among the league as a coach...

Twice Rex has been to the AFC Championship game. But I cant give Rex any pass in regards to Sanchez. It is well known in NY that Rex is the guy that wanted to trade up to get him.

I see somewhat of a common theme with these teams:

Jets: people are saying Woody Johnson is too involved now. And also that this team is like a carnival.

Lions: For the longest time, poorly run team and very undisciplined.

Panthers..I dont know much about.

Raiders...We all know the dysfunction.

Titans: a nut job owner

Dolphins: An owner more and more involved, always looking to make a splash.

Cowboys: Jerry Jones.

If you believe in conspiracy theories, I don't see how believing in karma is any more of a stretch.

Winning is the business in the NFL. 8-8, if you're lucky, buys you another season. It doesn't buy job security. That's nothing new and Jason Garrett is not going to be any exception.

All that said, he's got the team heading in the right direction, and I think he's got the organization fairly solidly behind him. If that's the case, the results will eventually show up on the field.

My guess is that 5 of the 7 will be fired by the end of the 2013 season. Only Philbin and Allen survive.

So you are saying that Garrett gets fired. For that to be true, then the next season will be a disappointment. Ergo, you are saying we will lose next year.

I think your agenda is showing.

I think that is the whole point being made. Garrett has been the OC for 6 seasons and the Head Coach for 2.5 seasons and we are a .500 ball club.

For whatever reason, the results have not shown up on the field, ergo the team may not be heading in the right direction and thus Garrett is on the hot seat this coming season.

Under Jerry's ownership, no head coach has had 3 straight seasons of no playoffs and was retained for a 4th year. So why should Garrett be treated any different? If he doesnt make the playoffs this coming season I see no way for Jerry to keep him.

I agree in that it's going to take a playoff win for JG to keep his seat as HC next year. Anything less and I think he's gone.

I think if they win 10-11 games and are one and done, JG will be back the next year.

If they squeeze in with 8-9 wins, it will take a victory.

You can only make that argument by spreading JGs tenure out over his OC years, which is a bad argument.

Otherwise, we saw immediate improvement from the team when he took over. And then a rapid reshuffling of the secondary and the OL after we collapsed defensively late last season, and then a spate of significant injuries that derailed the conference title bid again this season.

Garrett definitely is on the hot seat, regardless. But that's as it should be.
