Yep, but you know Jezza and the Media Team have it red lettered on the calender.....Isn’t this old news. I thought we’ve known for a while that we had 10 picks, including four 5th rounders?
we’ve drafted two tight ends in the last five drafts and Witten retired in 2020. Is that excessive?Man think of all the TEs we can draft
More than they will think about QB's.Man think of all the TEs we can draft
Nope. It would maybe get up up ten spots or so in the third, strictly based off draft pick value charts.2-5’s and a 3 doesn’t get you a 2?
hmmm seems like you're in a great mood to c........ainMore than they will think about QB's.![]()
hopefully he is our holder for field goals and misses the ballOh joy! Now we can draft our next franchise QB in the 5th round!
Pretty sure it’s based mostly on the size of the contract, but I think performance is somehow factored in as well.Sam Darnold
Which illustrates how flawed the compensatory formula is.
If the idea is to compensate teams that lost players, the evaluation should be based on what value was lost by the original team, rather than the value gained by the new team.
Darnold was far less important to the 9ers than Dorance Armstrong was to the Cowboys.
To date, everyone signed would count against the formula. How much? Don't know. But none were released, but signed as guys whose previous contract expired. So far this year, we lost 2 players that may get comp picks. We signed 4 FA's, but not sure if all from other teams, or if a few were street FA's. So they may not count against the guys we lost.
Of course it all comes down to contact size.

Ok- please let there be a team with two fourth rounders so that the can take three fifth rounders for a fourth - did everyone get that because I’m not Jerry willjesus the Mingo trade was terrible
I was wrong. The 3rd is for Ryans.Pretty sure it’s based mostly on the size of the contract, but I think performance is somehow factored in as well.
He signed a one year deal when he left SF. They got a third for that? Wow.
I don’t get too wound up over comp picks. The one time Dallas got one of significance it was a third for Byron Jones, and they threw it away on Nashon Wright.
Better start looking at these guyslast years round 5 comp picks
