Listening to Adam Schein today on Sirius and everyone is slobering over the G-Men to win the division. I know I'm a homer but are the Giants really that much better the Dallas? We split the season series with them last year, but was that game in NYC last year really a apples to apples. I'd have to say no with Brad Johnson and Brooks Bollinger as our QB. Granted the Giants lost Osi for the year, but it's much easier to replace your DE then QB. Let's not forget, Eli lost his best reciever, and basically looked lost once Plax shot himself. Call me a homer, but I guess I'm just not convinced.

Your not being one. Cowboys will be a better team than last season. Any one that follows the team sees it. But hey, i find it enjoyable that these experts have wrote the Cowboys out. No more pressure...all they have to do is go out and play the type of football we know they can.

Well said. I'd rather have the experts picking us to pick dead last than crowning us SB Champs before the season even begins.

I've posted this stat a million times but I love to post it so ill do it again anyways.

Romo has won 4 out of his last 5 games against the Giants when he has started.

Said it before, will say it again. If Dallas brings their A game, the Giants can't touch them, let alone beat them.

They have to keep their focus.

Eli was horrible w/o Plax, but you have to figure a full off-season adjusting will help a little.

I think well be much better in every area except the line. And its not like we got some capable vets behind Flo as insurance either

Eli Manning always looks like a dear caught in the headlights when he drops back to pass. I wouldnt have much confidence in him if I was a Giants WR. He looks confused and lost most of the time in the pocket.

Let them slobber. I'd rather our team not read or hear about how good they are anyway.

The thing is the whole world saw how badly Eli played with Toomer and without Placcident. Now remove Eli's go to safety valve in Toomer, replace their #1 WR option with the equivalent of Sam Hurd, and add in some wet behind the ears rookies.

We should be worried about them, why?

Let's not forget 45% of their running game now wears another jersey and Brandon Jacobs has yet to finish a full season BUT the Vagiants are going to rely on him even more this season???

Plus Spags is gone to the midwest. Yeah, the Giants fans say they've got coaches who were under Spags for years. I counter that by noting how many Nobel prizes Einstein's protoge won. Yes Osi is back, but none of the NFC east teams are starting Winston Justice this year.

Realistically I expect us and Philly to sweep them.

I agree, Philly is way better than the Giants.

Ive got it Philly, Dal, NJ, Wsh
Eagles & Cowboys both being 11-5 caliber, NJ being a .500 team and Washington not so much

Couldn't agree more. Just find it funny that these "experts" think Dallas will finish 4th, while the G-Men will win 12 games and take the division. Solomon Wilcotts said he thinks Dallas wins 7-8 games. These "experts" fail to realize that we won 9 games(yes a very disappointing season), w/o our starting QB for 3 games. We also were w/o our most dynamic player(Felix Jones) for the final 10 games.

I think the Giants finish last in the division. Yeah I said it. Last.

Their defense will be good, but that have nothing on offense. Nicks is a nice addition, but you can only ask a rookie to do so much.

Jason Campbell having an entire offseason in the same offense will help drastically.

Philly made beautiful additions all around, although losing Johnson hurts.

We are focused and hungry. If we play that way the whole year, we're going to be hard to beat. With our flexibility we need to keep them guessing.

Philly 11-5
Dal 11-5
Wash 10-6
NYG 8-8

The G-Men are tough because Coughlin is the best coach in the division and they have a super tough running game. I think their defense takes a bigger dip this year as it took quite a bit of a dip in the second half of 2008. I still think that if the Cowboys can be mentally tough enough and contain the run and force Eli to beat them, the Cowboys will win more times than not.

Nice post. I agree with Coughlin being one of the better coaches in our division. I don't think he's the best. I think Reid is still pretty good. Yes, having Johnson is a big plus for him, but he's the head coach still. Have you noticed that despite McNabb having inferior talent at WR, they still put up good numbers? Now, he'll have a decent WR corps for McNabb to work with.

Anyway, I disagree a bit with the Giants' defense taking a step back. Canty will be a good player for them. Getting Osi back is HUGE. They have backups that would start for most teams.

That being said, if we are patient....if Romo doesn't go all nuts with the ball....then we should beat them fairly easily. I don't fear any of their WRs.

One thing we can count on, Eli will go deep on the first series. If we can get a pick right away and keep bringing the pressure, he will be off balance the rest of the game.

Roy and Henry aren't back there anymore.

And his boy Plax is gone.

I HOPE the Giants try to go deep on the first series.

I believe we will win the division. We have the most talent from top to bottom, the best QB and the fewest questions marks.

Most of the 2009 Cowboy prognostications tend to only focus on two things:
Our release of Owens and our poor finish in 2008.

While i do agree that the Giants have nobody at WR and eli looked really bad after plax went down. They also add Osi and Canty to a defense that is already nasty.
