Might be the dumbest the move of the off season..........and we have many to choose from.

I’m going to say this right now so brace yourselves…don’t be surprised if La’el Collins is just outright released without receiving any compensation. Teams aren’t dumb. He was bad this year, missed all of 2020, and was suspended for bribing a drug tester. If you think you’ll get anything significant for him your fooling yourself. Brace yourself now.

Collins has been a train wreck for several years, fat and lazy that has cost this team.

We need to draft a premium OL regardless and maybe another in the middle rounds and/or grab a FA.

This OL needs some attention and new blood, Williams is likely gone in FA and McGovern looks bad other than in Jumbo FB duty.

There goes Dak’s BFF. Seems like yesterday Jerruh was tearing up at his post-draft introductory press conference. I think it’s official - we’ve wasted a generation of oline talent.

He isn’t being cut because of the cap. He’s being told to leave because he can’t be trusted. If it’s about cap maybe Zeke should take a pay cut because he sure ain’t earning his 18 million a year cap hit.

But please. Tell us all how everything is daks fault lol

Yeah, Ok. We are just trading our WR#1 who makes this offense tick and our starting RT and looking to lose our 2 starting DEs too. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can pretty much lock up Cade Mays to us later in the draft.

Will fall into the McGovern, Farniok grades of “can play many positions, but not great at any”

This might be true but it won’t happen until June 1st.

I think you’re absolutely right. For all of the reasons you mentioned, as well as the fact that if the guy so much as sneezes the wrong way, he faces another suspension.

Doesn't he lose all his guaranteed money because of the suspension.

In looking at his deal, it’s all signing and restructure bonuses. Money he already received that they can’t take back.

More support for the cautionary tale and ramifications for the fans that just throw out the ‘restructure everybody’ crap.

Hold on, something isn't right here. No way if traded does Dallas only save 1.3M. That's if he's released. His cap hit is over 15M and his base pay is 10M of that 15M. A base pay another team would be responsible for.

It would be stupid to release him. And they're not doing a post June 1st release. Everybody keeps bringing that up for every player. The truth is, we don't know who will be a post June 1st cut, if anyone. Teams only get 2 a year.

The would have to eat $14 million in pro-rated bonus money. His CAP save is only $1.3 million if traded or released before June 1.

This is just another screwup by Jerry. Why does Collins wish to be traded? Because Jerry let the news leak that the Cowboys were actively trying to trade him. So now Dallas has another disgruntled player who could be an important part of the OL.

Are we really going to roll the dice on Steele? and Tyron Smith being healthy for 16 games? Josh Ball, the guy we have not seen play is our swing tackle?
Jerry just created another gaping hole in the offensive line. Just great.

And wait for it. Jerry will get a 5th round pick or a 6th? For a starting RT tackle? The goal should have been to build that offensive line stronger, not weaken it.

If Steele turns out to be another Chaz Greene when given the chance to play full time Dak has a built in excuse for another year of disappointment.

It’s so obvious what they’re doing. Clearing the books for Payton. McCarthys agent should be getting ready to get every cent possible out of Jerry
His agent doesn't have to do anything, it is all spelled out in the contract about the walk away money.

He actually wasn't "bad this year". He had a shortened season due to a suspension. But he still ranked 15th Overall among all tackles and #3 in run blocking. This notion that he had a bad year when he was on the field is complete garbage. We have nobody on the roster right now who can step in there and play at his level. Getting rid of him for peanuts to save some money is a bad move and does not improve the team.
