Cowboys have 9 games against playoff teams from last year

At first glance, I'm seeing a 3-6 record in those 9 games without knowing any twists and turns of a season or even when, or where those games are played.

I wonder if we'll see an Amari's Revenge-type game.

Dallas will beat the Bucs (it seems Dallas owns Tampa), Steelers (Dallas/Zimmer will retire "DangerRuss" Wilson this game.) And, of course split with Philthy (as the Eagles somehow get lucky and avoid a sweep).

Subject to change, of course. I mean, Lance might win all of them... lol

I'm thinking 9-8. (By comparison, I have always picked them to go 11-5, 12-5.) In other words, I've been right 3 years straight and have nothing to show for it. Much like the Cowboys...lol

For the sake of argument wouldn’t the “ winnable “ games also be losable?
Sure, but the week leading up to the game will be fun around here. I have more fun watching us play teams that aren't gimme wins or losses.

I've got them at 3-7 ,including the Texans game

Gloomy? Yes but since they let starters leave AND didn't sign anybody of real quality in FA, what is one to think?

Browns, Ravens, Steelers, Texans, 49ers, Lions, Bucs and Egirls twice . Not to mention the Bengals .

Cowboys traditionally don’t fare as well against winning record teams.

If we win half of those there’s 4 or 5 losses. And we know we’ll get upset or blow some against lesser teams.

Over/ under 10 wins?
Under 7 thank you
If we stay with the current HC/QB
Some don't realize how easy we've had it the last couple seasons.

It is a brutal schedule. I think we will be lucky to be in the hunt with what little we have done this off season overall.

Under 10 wins.
We basically punted the season away this off season, with our inactivity in free agency.

and if we have a winning season it will be due to luck, other team being injured, refs giving us the win, the other team's mistakes etc..
Not from me ... my previous posts this past season were very complimentary of our team and QB when the time was appropriate...

12 wins. The Cowboys are good and the schedule isn't bad for them with only 1 cold weather game. They have 9 games at home, they should win 8 or 9 of those and at least 3 on the road. That would give them 11 or 12 wins. That is if their big 3 stay healthy. Although I like McCarthy to get the 12 wins even if 1 of them goes down.

I'm calling it 9 or 10 wins, but I'm leaning towards 9 because of the RB situation and all the rookies.

This is what happens when you win your division the previous season, you get a 1st place schedule. It's part of the league's goal for parity among all teams.

Yep and playing the AFC Central with 3 playoff teams along with WC from our division doesn’t help either. Not to mention our 17th game is against another playoff team which is part of that 1st place schedule.

4 of our 9 playoff opponents from last year are against AFC which we only have 5 games against. Which doesn’t even count the Bengals.
