Osa is a good rotational DT. Nice player, a little subpar as a starter.

People are doing the same thing w/ Osa as they did w/ Crawford. Our DT positions sucks so badly that they see any sign of life as making the player some awesome game changing starter. Unfortunately, they learned this from Jerry.
If you’re right about Osa there will only be modest interest in him from other teams. If the Cowboys want to re-sign him it will not cost an unacceptable amount of compensation. If you’re wrong about Osa he’ll either be well paid by the Cowboys or be well paid by some other team, and the Cowboys will just have another player to replace.

Osa is a free agent in 40 days. Do the Cowboys have a plan or even a notion of what they want to do with Osa? Probably not.

Oooh, IDK, I've seen players get paid a ton over the years w/ the team hoping they are more than what they have shown.

Plus, I think Osa would be a decent starter as a 3-4 DE. Not sure what he'd look like if his job was just to go after the QB w/ his ears pinned back every play.

DE is all right. Parsons is a Hall of Fame level starter on one side. I don't think that Kneeland is a proven answer on the other side, but he didn't look bad either, and we have our bets hedged with Lawson. Kneeland and Lawson wouldn't stop me at all from drafting a DE that I loved, but they would keep me from panicking and reaching for one.

DT is a nightmare if Osa's not brought back. Mazi did improve over the back half of the season, but he improved from being the worst DT in the NFL to a well below average one. He was outplayed by Jordan Phillips. And then we have nothing at the 3 tech without Osa, absolutely nothing.

Wait... really? Dallas literally has not one LBer under contract and/or ready to start next season. They need to sign or draft at least 4 guys just to have LBers. Uuugh?!
They really are cooked. thanks to poor drafting and cap management.

Already need an upgrade at DT since Mazi isnt it. With Osa, we will either overpay to keep him or let him walk and need two starting DTs.
At DE, DLaw (aging) and Gholston (rotational) are FAs. That basically leaves Parsons, Kneeland and Sam Williams. Last 2 are coming off injuries and Sam is a headcase.

At LB, Kendricks is a FA and a Zim guy. I’d say he is gone. Overshown will likely miss a good portion of the season, leaving us with Marist and some scrubs.

Bottomline, we will need a starting MLB and OLB, 1 or 2 starting DTs and another DE. Not to mention a safety, RB, WR and OL.

7-8 major needs, we will be lucky to get 2-3 upgrades.

yeah, that is what I am thinking as well. My MINIMUM needs for this year was 2 DT's, 1 DE, 2 LBs

Honestly since this years draft is rich in DTs and RBs we need to go there. at least 1 RB in the first three rds.

Honestly I would look in FA for WR help as this years draft stinks there

IF we get a good OL coach, I would swing with what we have there for this year.
