According to Sporting Charts, the tyrone Crawford and Jeremy mincey rank 80 and 157 in defensive pressures. Justin Houston is #1 with 7. How will the Cowboys generate pressure, hurries, and sacks in our next game?

Mincey isn't a world beater, but he's better then Russell at this point. Maybe if we get really lucky Gregory will be back, but I'm not holding my breath. But basically the defense has to dig down and find something in themselves. The upside is that the Saints don't have a matchup nightmare like Julio Jones.

The only help they will get is Mincy because chances are they will wait until after the bye week on Randy unless something changes.

Hardy will certainly help but he is another week away.

I snore at assumptions of what this defense will end up being until Week 10.
And so should all of you.

Ninnies.

Hardy is going to have an effect like Charles Haley did in the 90's.... Dallas D will be back, I have watched the Cowboys for many years and he will have a big effect when he gets back, not just because of what he will do himself but also an attitude that is missing on this defense !!!:mad::mad:

Don't know if you heard, but we are missing GHardy, RGregory, JMincey and TMcClain.

You never know how a team is going to stack up until the game. Anybody thing Philly was going to run on the Jets the other day? Oakland beat Balty? It's a week to week league!

whats with this team and always getting folks who can't generate consistent pressure or sacks worth a damn? they bring them in to get some pressure but can't produce. its been going on for a long time. ware was the last dominant one we had and even he dropped off.

is it coaching? scouting?

Who exactly?

You can argue Lawrence, I'll give you that but three out of our four best pressure players were either injured or suspended last game. If we are still getting minimal pressure after the bye, I'll start blaming the coaches and the scouting. Dallas hasn't had as much invested in pass rushers since our front four consisted of Ware/Spencer/Ratliff and we were getting good pressure then.

Agree. We don't know how banged up these guys are, and many games are bounces one way or another, missed assignments, or in Phillys case a ST TD to in the end give them a win.

I don't know of any magic bullet besides guys working to improve and then going out and giving better effort. After this game, I expect Hardy and if possible Gregory to be back in the lineup that should do a lot to help the pass rush. On the other hand you let Ingram go off on us like Freeman did the pass rush is not going to matter much

fair enough. but it keeps being a big issue with this team. how long did it take denver to strengthen their dline troops? and they even have one of our old guys.

another thing too. dlineman getting hurt. is that on conditioning? the trainers? or is always an issue of bad luck?

that Gregory injury was such a backbreaker,i think we would have won against the falcons had he played.

Still waiting for Crawford to pull production like Hatcher had. I thought Marinelli just had magic where that player in that role would just be amazing.

Guess not.
