I snore at assumptions of what this defense will end up being until Week 10.
And so should all of you.

Ninnies.

I am excited as well (actually more intrigued), but I am not at all convinced that rescue is on the way.

That just seems to be our theme for the season. Wait for the rescue.

There are a lot of expectations being placed on talent that will not be able to switch it on to full power as soon as they are activated.

And it is not really fair to them.

It was bad enough with the suspension brothers, but now Romo and Bryant?

True, but the team isn't 3-7 yet now, is it?

Yes, but if it is, it seems we had a failed strategy.

That darn luck, let's reset in 2016. We will have our QB and WR this time.

I hate to say that this will be the offseason mantra if things do not break right.

Where we too quick in giving Crawford that big contract? Are we inept at evaluating defensive lineman?

They may have been a little premature. But that is a little arrogance on our part assuming things he had yet to do.

I do not think he will be a bust ala Miles Austin where we regret it though.

Don't know if you heard, but we are missing GHardy, RGregory, JMincey and TMcClain.

I love the dialogue now where Terrell McClain was somehow some proven integral piece of a defensive line.

According to Sporting Charts, the tyrone Crawford and Jeremy mincey rank 80 and 157 in defensive pressures. Justin Houston is #1 with 7. How will the Cowboys generate pressure, hurries, and sacks in our next game?

According to same sourcey Crawford is 39th in hurries
And twill only has two drops and is 22nd in the league in drops
Not sure how the
Measure the difference between hurries and pressures but that's a huge difference between 80th and 39th

Hard to get pressure with Ryan Russell and Jack Crawford playing major roles. What do you expect with our best rushers gone?

It is a theme because it was placed upon them without choice with multiple suspensions and early, serious injuries to important players, yet expected to come back...
No seeming about it.
Fair or not.

More gap integrity. We clearly did not respect the Falcons ability to run the ball.

They took it personal.

Their coach does not need an emotion chip.

fair enough. but it keeps being a big issue with this team. how long did it take denver to strengthen their dline troops? and they even have one of our old guys.

another thing too. dlineman getting hurt. is that on conditioning? the trainers? or is always an issue of bad luck?

Mincey got a concussion so that's really nobodies fault. Too early to label Gregory anything at this point. We knew we were going to miss Hardy for some time when he signed.

Speaking of themes the title of this thread Cowboys have no pressure gives me an idea. I know what a poet you are so why not record and post the song Under Pressure by Queen ??? I know you would do it justice !!! Just the spark we need mid-week till another game !!!:omg:

I think they could be using it as a crutch honestly.

The suspensions were well known with plenty of time to prepare for.

I get the injuries, but even those are about being prepared.

We have never been prepared for a Romo injury because I believe Romo makes more plays outside the system that makes it impossible to know even what a good QB for this system would be. There is no staple. There is no foundation. We go as Romo takes us.

That's true.
Not necessarily the crutch part, although I won't dismiss it, but the second half...
Yeah.

Nice leap.

I didn't assign any particular value to anyone on the list.

Just listed 4 of our 10 DL that haven't been available.

During and immediately after training camp, there's was a lot of hope that Lavar Edwards, Coleman, bishop, t McLain, Russell, Lawrence, j Crawford, T Crawford, Mincey, and Gregory would be more than sufficient to provide a steady pass rush until Hardy served his suspension.

Now I'm gettin the impression that most agree that Edwards, Coleman, bishop, t McClain, Russell, and j Crawford are useless, and that Lawrence, mincey, and t Crawford are just average, and Gregory is the best pass rusher based on a couple of pressures he had in the Giants game.

It's funny how assessments change once the games start counting.
