This is interesting.Jerry probably dropped Trevon to make cap room for Stephon.
Is Gilmore ready to strap on the helmet?

We need a poll, who amongst us doesn’t have an attitude about the defensive scheme?According to Isaiah stanback diggs just did everything outside the team. No workouts or injury rehab. Then they pay him and he turns to crap and has an attitude about the defensive scheme he tried to freelance and cost us games and he got nosy about Micah salary and he didn’t even tackle I mean what did he provide us again ?
:hammer-nail-smileyGood for Schotty.
This tells me the relationship was beyond repair.Schotty denied the request.
There was definitely a lot more going on than just a request to stay in DC. There was some serious bad blood. Honestly I don't think he really cares about playing. It's just a paycheck. This tells me the relationship was beyond repair.
Definitely did him a favor, might of asked for his early releaseRight cuz they could have easily just deactivated him for the final game
If any other Cowboy player can get out. I'd advise them to. That's if you want to win. If not??? Enjoy mediocrity and your money.Glad they just got it done, everyone knew it was coming. Rip the band-aid off.
We save a bit this year, Diggs will likely clear wavers and can join another team if he wishes.
I know it's not popular on here, and I am no Jerry fan (I've been as hard on him as anyone), but the way he has structured some of these deals should be commended.
Most of the money in the last 3 years of Diggs deal are non guaranteed, so it's fairly painless to cut him.
We save 12.5 on the cap next season.
We could have designated him a post June 1 cut and saved 15.5 next season but that would have spread the dead money over 2 years instead of just taking it all in 2026.
The Cowboys actually have several contracts structured in this way.
For example, Osa's deal has an easy out after next season, (Bland, Steele and Ferguson too). It's a smart way to structure contracts as it gives the team an out of the player is not performing to the deal (like Diggs).
