What do you base that on? Has he ever been head coach?
When you analyze his personality traits on camera, body language and then combined with the fact he wasn't selected as interim head coach with the Chargers or able to land other head coaching gigs before it raises a lot of questions. Not to say he can't grow into a role, but from what I've seen in interviews, practice footage, and game observations it's hard to invision him handling a difficult coaching interaction with a grown man. I'm sure he's great in the film room, sharing what ideally should happen, but what does he do when its not going well? He likely has players respect from his knowledge of the game and is approachable but it's totally different when you're in charge.

Now I can't speak for what happens behind closed doors, but I've done a lot of hiring over the years for various roles and just sharing what I've seen from him. I personally think his style is closer to Jason Garrett and we would be wasting 4-5 years with the guy.

If Kellen gets the HC gig, .. he's gonna pursue his buddy QB coach doug Mussehemier to OC here ..

and of course , Jerry & crew will continue to hand pick kellen's staff the rest of the way ...

- I'd be interested to see if we return Bones Fassel as special teams coach ..

- .Jason Witten to be TE coach, ..

- while Lunda Well could be moved to the OL Coach.

- the RB and WR coach up for grabs per new coaching staff.

I don’t know him personally, but if he has an IQ at least in double digits he’s smart enough to stay away from the Dallas Cowboys. He’s on a good trajectory as a coach in the NFL. Jerry Jones is going to waste the Cowboys’ next ”4-5 years” and he doesn’t need Kellen Moore to do it.

This would just be a terrible hire, the dude may be smart but he's not the accountability coach or guy that will command the room.

I'm pretty optimistic in general, but this is just Jason Garrett 2.0 and don't see what he adds.
This is like making the dude that gets pantsed in gym class the freaking head coach........................it just aint gonna work, nobody is going to respect him in the lockerroom.

If you will excuse Beast, he needs to go vomit after hearing this news.
