Cowboys have the 13th best odds of making the playoffs in the NFC

I'm as disgruntled as anyone but we shouldn't be that low. We should be about 8-9. This team isn't great, but they are better than 13th. We really aren't that far removed from 12 wins.
A reasonable person will expect the Eagles and Commanders to do more to improve their respective teams than the Cowboys. Those teams are not encumbered with poor management. Even if Jerry stumbles upon some improvement it will not match what the significantly more aggressive and imaginative FOs of Los Angeles, Detroit, Philadelphia, and particularly Washington (who want a new stadium at taxpayer expense) are going to do.

Realistically Jerry and son are most concerned with the NY Giants overtaking them. And should be.

I mean, that's logical. My argument is for 8th or 9th.

That said, I'll remain hopeful for more if we draft well. I'm at least entertained with the off season. I wouldn't say fulfilled, but interested enough to see what happens. Last off season I was completely disgusted, so this is an improvement imo.

Unfortunately, I think 13th is pretty reasonable as things stand today. I don't see how anyone could put us above 10. We have some pretty big questions including the most important position and we no longer have a proven backup. Plus schedule looks tough this year. I think we are a long way from 12 wins unless we just catch lightning in a bottle.

Sorry to piss on anyone’s parade, but we aren’t the only team that will be adding players through the draft, and it won’t be moving the needle much for many of them, especially the one picking twelfth.

What is painful is Philadelphia has seven picks in the first 200 picks in the draft. Washington and Dallas have seven of the first 200…combined. The freakin’ Eagles will select their 4th pick in the draft before the Commanders or Cowboys. They just won the Super Bowl. How does that happen?

And miss out on Mingo?
Don't need no stinkin' 4th rounders.

Cowboys!
