Cowboys have the 13th best odds of making the playoffs in the NFC

According to one betting site, not only are the Cowboys are not expected to make the playoffs, but they are also projected to be one of the worst teams in the entire NFC this season. The site gave Dallas just a 33% chance of making the playoffs, good for the 13th-worst odds in the conference. Only the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and New York Giants have a lower chance at making the postseason, according to these bookmakers.

try that one, again this is before the draft and a long way from start of season.
I will wait and see who and what the cowboys draft, then maybe bet on them to do better
than projected.

I can not be the only one who realizes this lol…

The odds for Dallas are too low. Why? Because Dallas doesn’t need to be better than all those other teams in the NFC…they only need to be better than both the Commanders and the Giants. Why??…because no team has won the NFC East two years in a row in over 20 years. So there’s a very good chance the Eagles will continue this trend and not win the division this season. So whoever has the best record between Washington, Dallas and New York will win the division, and thus make the playoffs…regardless of what all the other teams on the NFC do.

Based on history? That’s ridiculous. Which team is the last team to win the division four years in a row? Can I assume that is the most likely team to do it again?

The Cowboys win five games in 2025. If Dak stays healthy for the entire season, six wins, maybe. Even if Philadelphia doesn’t win again, it will be Washington stomping them. The Cowboys will do well to finish in front of the Giants. Pray the Giants blow their draft pick.

So the Cowboys have improved slightly in free agency, will definitely get 2 starters from draft that will make them better. Getting a healthy Prescott back. But we are beneath all of them? Why exactly?
Prescott was 3-5 before getting hurt, while Rush finished 4-5. Getting a healthy Prescott back ain't gonna help.

The other teams in the NFCE will also get two starters from the draft.

To be fair, its not like the rest of the roster is stacked either.

You could put A-Rod on this team at QB and we still probably dont make the playoffs.

Not defending Dak, just being realistic. This roster is not very good overall.
If Milton or Rush was the starter the Cowboys would still be 13/16.

The roster sucks, but the highest paid player ever isn’t a difference maker.

Wow, they're in the top half of the league. They should be very proud!
Sadly, it’s just for the NFC. We are lumped in the bottom 25%. But that is more a consequence of the division we’ve in. We are certainly better than some teams ahead of us.

I sure hope you're correct about being better than some teams ahead on them
