Dallas 1-1
Philly 1-1
Giants 0-2
Deadskins 0-2..

Yeah, I am "real" concerned about some stupid "points Stat" right now.

Yeah. It's two games. We shoulda coulda won yesterday but we are the same or better than most teams at 1-1. Too early to prove any patterns. We need to improve that's all

Like earlier posts mentioned, the majority of the deadskins points have come in the 4th when they were WAY behind. Still, our offense needs some work and Murray may not be the answer. It may be time to start splitting the carries a bit more.

So far, through two games:

  1. Eagles offense = 61 points
  2. Giants offense = 54 points
  3. Commanders offense = 40 points
  4. Cowboys offense = 39 points

(Yes, the Cowboys scored 36 points against the Giants overall as a team in Week One, but 14 of those points were directly attributed to defensive touchdowns.)

To be fair, the Commanders have been getting killed, when the start putting up points. It's just a lot of soft coverage and prevent, allowing that offense to pad it's stats.

Here's the scary thing: our offensive line is better, but our offense still sucks.

The OL is better, health isn't an issue, Garrett's not calling plays...yet the O is worse. Hmm, whats the consistent?

Hint: Rhymes with Blomo.

We are pass blocking better, .. that's true.

But we still can't run block. We don't really try.

We tried to run on the goal line one time, got stuffed, and that was it.

If I had short yardage or goalline, I'm running Tanner.

I would get Dunbar out in space.

Makes one wonder if Callahan isn't playing it real close to the vest depending on turnovers from the D.........cause' right now it looks as if our offense is totally dependent on getting turnovers in prime field position to score...........and A. Smith, with as many times as he ran it, he looked like Kappernick lite, was fully coached to avoid the turnover.

Murray is struggling and isn't hitting the right holes. I also think the coaching staff lacks the patience to stick with the running game.

They do lack the patience, or the commitment to stick with the run.

That's what I meant by, "We don't really try"

Hey, I have mixed feelings about Romo, but in fairness the other constant is the playbook. We've been running the same unimaginative offense for several years.

Yeah, after two games, this is really threadworthy.

Not all that surprised. Watch Pre - Season games and you will see that we really did not score a lot of points with our 1st team. We have not looked sharp with our 1st team this entire year thus far, IMO.

Jason Garret - "We haven't run the ball well enough and we haven't run it enough."

I'm guessing we'll see more runs. Murray isn't getting the job done, seems they have a pretty good platoon system between him and the other three backs. Give Tanner, Randle and Dunbar more touches. Can't hurt.
