Signed by Cowboys Cowboys hire Eagles secondary coach Christian Parker as DC

We only get one if they leave for a head coach or above position.
This organization is just a stepping stone for players and coaches to go on do better and bigger things like make the playoffs and win the SB

At least it’s extremely clear that Shoddy is no puppet and is clearly leading this search.

Culture change. Ok.
I seriously doubt he has anything to do with this. The more you see the more you notice he's just another Jerry puppet.

Again, to me, I am hoping this signals a shift in the front office.

Hiring Parker is definitely outside the norm for Jerry. Does that mean maybe a fresh approach to roster construction, FA, etc?

..oh wow, ok. Sounds better than Gannon.

Eagles D has been really good recently.

I am normally quite critical of this franchise and Jerry, especially.

I also can't remember when a coaching hiring intrigued me this much. mean we've gotten a steady force feeding of retreads/NFL names like McCarthy and Schottenheimer and Eberflus and Quinn and Nolan.

But this hire does intrigue me.

If he's the Klayton Adams of the defense, we're good.

That part. It’s interesting as candidates what makes Leonard better? Seems like the same level of candidate. I just don’t know how long you wait when even as a homer I can’t sell you on you why you should take this job over Giants or Packers.
I'll just say that Leonhard has experience calling plays that Parker does not. Granted, that was in college, but Leonhard at least has experience being the guy behind the mic making decisions/adjustments.

Yep, the Adams/Riley duo of last year on offense and now Parker as DC this year.
Actually keeps me interested.

I want to say hopeful but I may be getting ahead of myself.

I wouldn't mind if he could bring Blankenship down as a Wilson replacement
Oh please no.

He was exposed at times this past year. PFF had him rated 92 out of 98 safeties. He's Jeff Heath reincarnated - a guy that gets way more praise than he deserves for some reason.

Here is an interesting fact for you. Since 2000 up until 2024, the Cowboys traded a top 90 pick for a player only 4 times. They did it twice in 2025

Could definitely be just a coincidence. Could also signal heightened aggression though. Still dont get your hope up lol

He does have that. But it’s even college but still experience so I get it.
