our analytic football fellows. Between the guys we hired last year and this, we should be winning a chip....oh wait....never mind.

The Cowboys will do anything they can to win a championship except improve the roster with proven veteran talent in free agency.
Let's hope these analytics team additions help the Cowboys' FO to make decisions that are much more advantageous to their success!

We don’t have the cap this season.
Sort of. This year is technically extremely tight, no doubt about it, but here are the cap hits for the next five years....

2024 - $287m
2025 - $211m
2026 - $116m
2027 - $62m
2028 - $41m

Plenty of room to move money around if they wanted to. The Cowboys have the lowest payroll in the league over the next three years. They rank #31 highest this year, #31 next year, and #31 in 2026. They have the least amount of money on the books, starting next year they are a top 10 team in available cap space, yet we are being told it's cap hell.

They may be simply wanting to play it safe and reset the cap so they can spend in future years, but if thats the case lets call 2024 what it is....a throw away year. Make no mistake about it though, this is a choice this team is making.
