Terrence Newman was a very good player for a very long time. Looking at Pro Football Reference's attempt at a WAR formula, he was the 10th best player in the 2003 draft class by total career value. Tough to call that a bad pick.

Roy Williams is an odd case. Probably overrated in his day when he was a household name, but underrated now because people forget what a terror he was. He did fall off quickly. IMO, his broken collarbone is what really started slowing him down.
Newman was very good for a very long time; so I think it was a good pick. He got a bad rap because he did not get many picks but getting picks means a lot of time you are giving up TDs.

Roy Williams S was unlucky in that he lived about ten years too late. He would have fit in great from the early nineties to when the rule changes hit.

I thought it was when he got married, right around the time they outlawed the horse collar.
