I'm all for keeping Free assuming he takes a significant pay cut. Good backup despite what anybody says.

I get the feeling it means a pay cut (if he agrees to it) and a chance to see what he can do at guard. I imagine Free would agree to at least a small pay cut, if not more, because of the amount of veteran tackles out there and the small money they are getting in free agency.

Any reason why he only lasted a year with KC? I didn't watch a single KC game last season but when FAs get cut after 1 season something most have gone pretty wrong

I'm glad Winston is the veteran OL signing over Clabo and Brandon Moore, just because of his age. He can perhaps be the RT for the remainder of the "Romo Era," however long it lasts.

Per @PFF, Eric Winston ranked No. 26 among OTs last season (9th among RTs). Doug Free ranked 66th. Would be significant upgrade for Cowboys.
