Viniatieri degree of difficulty is a little less too. Bailey's attempted 16 from 40+, Viniatieri 10 from 40+

True. Bailey is also 12th in scoring while Viniatieri is 6th and Gostowski if 4th. It would have been nice if Bailey made the pro-bowl, but this just wasn't his year. Statistically it is his worst season, but he is still a great and reliable kicker.

Nope. Murray is a sure-fire All-Pro while Martin and Frederick could sneak in. Bryant will have a tougher time due to his lack of yards.

I have seen him on some writer's All Pro lists. I don't know just trying to get him some recognition. Kickers are really hard to judge because as I pointed out earlier a kicker like Bailey has attempted 16 FGs from 40+ and has had two of his kicks blocked. Also factoring in some kickers that kick in a dome or in nice weather. Not saying Bailey doesn't but just talking about all kickers and how to compare them.

If anyone needed further proof that the fan voting is virtually meaningless --

-- Joel Bitonio won the fan voting at guard. He is NOT one of the six guards named today. Three of the guards who were named to the Pro Bowl (Jahri Evans, Mike Iupati and Kyle Long) were not even in the fans' top 10. Even if they were 11th, 12th and 13th among the fans, that still means that the fans' 13th choice goes to the Pro Bowl over their No. 1 choice.

-- Stephen Paea finished second in the fan voting at DT. He is NOT one of the six DTs named today. Three of the DTs who were named to the Pro Bowl (Aaron Donald, Gerald McCoy and Kyle Williams) were not even in the fans' top 10. Again, the fans' 13th choice (or worse) goes in over their No. 2 choice.

-- Paul Kruger finished second in the fan voting at OLB. He is not one of the six OLBs named today. Tamba Hail, who did not make the fans' top 10, did make the Pro Bowl.

-- Chris Harris and Vontae Davis, neither of whom made the fans' top 10 at cornerback, were chosen ahead of the fans' third choice, Buster Skrine.

-- One of the two punters named to the Pro Bowl did not make the fans' top 10. The other finished fourth.

-- One of the two special teamers named did not make the fans' top 10. The other finished third.

-- Others named to the Pro Bowl who didn't even make the fans' top 10: AJ Green and Calvin Johnson at WR, Trent Williams at OT and Calais Campbell at DE.

Bailey - 22 of 26 (84.6%)
Gostkowski - 32 of 34 (94.1%)
Vinatieri - 28 of 28 (100%)

Don't misplace your faith here. Bailey is money, but facts are facts.

Yeah, Bailey definitely didn't deserve it.

Yeah, Bailey definitely didn't deserve it.

That's cold.

Dan Bailey is most likely the first alternate for the Pro Bowl, not that kickers have high injury concerns.

Bailey is deserving, the two who were selected just more so.

John Kuhn made it and he only played 17% of the Packer's offensive stats.

I'm convinced most NFL players who vote for the Pro-bowl sometimes go with the name they know for positions like FB that rarely see the field.

No love for the Senator.

Jason Witten, TE, 9 Pro Bowls: His numbers are not as prolific as they have been in the past -- 60 catches, 654 yards, five touchdowns -- but his blocking has played a big part in the reason why Murray leads the NFL in rushing. Jason Garrett consistently calls him the best all-around tight end in the NFL.

Who he should have beaten out: Denver’s Julius Thomas has more touchdowns than Witten, but fewer catches and yards. If we’re talking total package, Witten makes it.

Matin... Only rookie to make pro bowl... Not counting alternates. But I doubt he gets ROY.
