If anyone needed further proof that the fan voting is virtually meaningless --
-- Joel Bitonio won the fan voting at guard. He is NOT one of the six guards named today. Three of the guards who were named to the Pro Bowl (Jahri Evans, Mike Iupati and Kyle Long) were not even in the fans' top 10. Even if they were 11th, 12th and 13th among the fans, that still means that the fans' 13th choice goes to the Pro Bowl over their No. 1 choice.
-- Stephen Paea finished second in the fan voting at DT. He is NOT one of the six DTs named today. Three of the DTs who were named to the Pro Bowl (Aaron Donald, Gerald McCoy and Kyle Williams) were not even in the fans' top 10. Again, the fans' 13th choice (or worse) goes in over their No. 2 choice.
-- Paul Kruger finished second in the fan voting at OLB. He is not one of the six OLBs named today. Tamba Hail, who did not make the fans' top 10, did make the Pro Bowl.
-- Chris Harris and Vontae Davis, neither of whom made the fans' top 10 at cornerback, were chosen ahead of the fans' third choice, Buster Skrine.
-- One of the two punters named to the Pro Bowl did not make the fans' top 10. The other finished fourth.
-- One of the two special teamers named did not make the fans' top 10. The other finished third.
-- Others named to the Pro Bowl who didn't even make the fans' top 10: AJ Green and Calvin Johnson at WR, Trent Williams at OT and Calais Campbell at DE.
