I'm a little worried about Switzer fielding his first NFL punt in a live NFC East game.

What is the difference between fielding balls in the NCAA and NFL? Switzer will be okay, it's like riding a bike once you know you know.

Good thing is Awuzie and Woods both played in some live action games in preseason. Switzer will get a few plays and be the returner which is natural for him. Hopefully he catches up soon to speed of NFL and guys looking to hit him that isn't teammates
I have great hopes for Switzer..

..he could be devastating in 3-4 WR sets and kick returns.

Can't wait to see him and Beasley together.

Getting my popcorn ready.

He is punt returner not so much kick returner. Doesn't mean he can't return kicks its just punt returns is his specialty

It's not like it's the first time he's fielded a punt, the boy is good at it. The giants just don't have any tape on him doing as a pro. No need to be worried about this one.

He might have the jitters the first time..but after that...he should be good to go...

Once a punt returner...always a punt returner :flagwave:

Just find the wall....and haul:grin:

Tyre ke hill is the Chiefs pr and kr. He's 2 inches and 4 pounds heavier than Switzer. I don't know about hiding him from kr duties. It's not like he'll get hit that much this year anyway. Only time he'll touch the ball is on returns for the most part.

He's the 5th receiver. What risk?

I don't view Switz as the 5th receiver. I think he'll play a big role this season.

I also don't see kickoff returns as worth much of any investment and I don't want fumbles under any circumstance.

Down as many as possible. Use a bigger guy back there, IMO.

Look around the league. Punt returners and k.o. returner are often different profiles.

They run 65 offensive plays a game. 35 will be run plays. They'll throw 8 times to Dez, 8 times to Witten, and 8 times to Beasley (or some mix therein). That leaves six plays to spread around to Terrance Williams, Brice Butler, and Ryan Switzer.

He needs to return kicks.

No passes to Zeke?

I understand some angst, but the primary reason Switzer was drafted was because of his return ability, so not overly concerned.
