Before this season hatcher's career high was 6 sacks .

Which would be more than double McDaniel's career high in a season.

With the chance to start full time under the right scheme he flourished . McDaniel has the same body type and attributes hatcher has . He isn't as good but he does collapse the pocket and gets lots of reach tackles with his long arms . He could be a poor mans Jason hatcher . After watching mcdaniel closely no doubt he could easily get 6-8 sacks in our scheme starting .

Hatcher had more sacks this past season than McDaniel has had in his 8 year career. He's never reached even 3 sacks in a season. What in God's name are you talking about?

Yeah, poor like living under a bridge.

You said 6-8 sacks next year. The man has 10.5 sacks in his 8 year career.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are thinking of another player.

I don't think he was a serious option to begin with. Insurance on losing the Melton/Donald sweepstakes at best.

Was Hatch visiting Seattle a plan to get Daniel to work out a deal? Is Hatch still shopping? :D The drama intensifies.

Hatcher was in Seattle...then Tennessee and Oakland. He ain't coming back now that Ware is gone.

ACL IS not the career killer it used to be.

Agreed but still a unknown. Different players come back differently. Why get into a bidding war and over pay. Get Donald on the rookie pay scale. Donald also alot younger and healthy.

I'm all for getting Aaron Donald, but I'd rather not go into the draft desperate for a certain player because other teams will try to exploit us and we'll end up trading away our 2nd round pick to move up in the 1st. Even if we had a guy like Tony McDaniel, it would keep other teams guessing.

Agreed. You find other guys but you don't over pay for a vet. I would love melton but just not at big money
