Cowboys interested in Josh Gordon

Doesn't sound like he fits the profile of Jason Garrett's men of character regime. Transfers to avoid suspensions, drug arrests, there's a reason we passed on huge talent potential in the draft, especially at positions of need. Don't see Jerry and Jason risking a 3rd round pick on a guaranteed multiple arrest later on? I'll take lesser talent and high character thank you.

I just don't believe you'll find a better prospect in the 3rd round next year.

To me it all comes down to the background check. If the people who know him best, coaches and teammates, go to bat for him then I would most definitely submit a 3rd.

I don't know if we're allowed to interview him or not, but that would be crucial if we could.

Nope. According to your own statements, he does not play in the trenches, and therefore should not be acquired.

@Rich_Tandler
My feeling is that any talk of Gordon to the #Commanders is smoke to get the #Cowboys to use an earlier pick if they want him. #RedskinsTalk

I think drafting a receiver in next years draft in the 3rd round is reasonable so might as well take one now and develop him, especially with this talent.

I think our roster allows us to take a chance on some low profile guys who have been in trouble in the past.

I'd give someone a chance if the talent was there with this current roster. If I were the Bengals I probably wouldn't though.

Not even close....

Lets see... Dez got suspended because he lied to the NCAA about Deion Sanders due to getting in a panic in the his questioning.

This guy got suspended due to a drug related issue.

Does this guy's problems sound even remotely like Dez's problems coming out of college? The fact is Dez got the short end of the stick, and kept that short stick by behaving immaturely, though he was never in trouble with the law. (just sagging pants (form being a generic young kid) and debt problem.

Sick of any questionable character WR being put in comparison to Dez.

Exactly how I feel providing he has a good workout tomorrow. He might not provide much in 2012 but down the road he could be a steal.

I would penalize him for all the drug issues severely so I wouldn't offer up anything more than a fourth rounder as most of those guys don't go on to become major contributors. 3rd round is too high because we could probably find a good OG there next year.

Gordon will be a solid wide receiver where ever he goes...but we need immediate help, and this guy hasn't played in over a year.

Now there's some sound logic for using a draft pick.

Can he help us.....rightnow? No. Then what good is he?

Flash Gordon?

Sure. Draft him.

We'd have another angular, super athletic wideout to hopefully add to Bryant and, even more hopefully, Andre Holmes.

Then you got Miles Austin and of course the gem, one Daniel Kinsman Coale I. Pretty nice group of receivers.

IA. You would think Dez was the standard for character issues.

You are the Sybil of talent evaluators.

Potential lockdown corner and the consensus best secondary player in the draft? Stupid.

A third for a WR who hasn't played football in a year, has red flags, and one mediocre season with RG3 passing to him? All-in.

I could explain it to you but I'm not confident you'll understand.
