Sounds like another Eddie George thing.
I agree we don't need a guy that has little mileage on the treads and not backing up any other positions or playing any special teams at all. Tyson Thompson is the position Dunn would actually be filling and we need at least his former level of play when he was producing, to be replaced with this # 3 RB position.
We have a significant re-build needing to be done on ST and we will need every rookie we draft to be on them and contributing..especially if they play offense.
I think one of the things that kept us from being a championship team last year was our very poor punt and KO units. In big games, they didn't produce any big plays for us. Against the Pats, they had the ball consistently around the 50 and the same against the Jints in the playoffs. Continually putting the defense with it's back to the wall with short drives for the other team to score.
This has to swing 180 degrees if we are going to win consistently next year.
I'd like our rookie draftee RB to be a punt returner and if we end up drafting a rookie WR in the 1st round, have him do kickoffs, too. These are ways they can have an impact immediately on the team and also contribute wherever offensively at their positions. This is essential with any #1 pick we take this year.
They must contribute immediately plus be looked at as future starter for us.
We need some speed and explosion from both the PR and KR units handling the ball.
Dunn would not be the one to me.
