Romo throws alot of TDs to TW. There wont be a WR replacing him this yr. 14 in 2 yrs and 4 games.

he would be a solid WR to add to our rotation and probably wouldn't cost too much, I'm fine with it. I'm also fine with Mike Wallace who got released by Minnesota.

I would really like to see an entire overhaul of the WR position over the next 2 or 3 years.

If so I liked him coming out in the draft.

Career Stats:
G Rec Yds Avg Yds/G Lng TD 20+ 40+ FUM
TOTAL 48 133 2,197 16.5 45.8 82 16 35 8 1 (T.Will)
TOTAL 57 152 1,793 11.8 31.5 76 11 22 4 2 (M.Sanu)

I'll pass on M.Sanu

Stats don't mean everything to me (I know, I know).

I would just be more interested in a real burner. It would go well with our offensive scheme to run the ball and just have a legitimately burner WR. Even if that WR isn't massively productive, it compliments our run game, Dez, Witten and Beasley more. Sanu isn't a scary burner.

Just because the media attaches the Cowboys to a string of other teams does not mean they are interested.

I see a lot of "the Cowboys are interested" just not much action after that

LOL I picture that in the DC offices. Typical spring day in VR after that 3 martini lunch, the Jones boys back in the office methodically throw darts at the FA board as to their "player interest".
See them giggling, "That ought to keep our fans interested". In the meantime, deep discussion looms on where they are going to have dinner.

Why?

Dez is a top-3 WR in the league. Beasley is a top-3 slot WR in the league. And they are 27 and 26 years old respectively. They were incredibly productive and dropped the least amount of passes in the league in 2014. Romo went down and Dez got hurt.

Dez and Beasley aren't the problem. And neither is Williams for that matter. It's a matter of having a legitimate QB to go along with a HC and O-Coordinator that can design some plays to make better use of these guys.

I like Sanu a lot as a player. Good size, huge hands, has experience in his past as both a QB and a RB, so he's effective on option passes and running end arounds. Not a speed merchant by any means, but he has been effective.

I wouldn't mind Sanu, but i'm not suggesting to replace T-Will, we need more pieces in our WR corps....also I would really like Mike Wallace who just got released from Minnesota, now he could be the burner we desperately need.

I'm actually starting to think guys like he and Wilcox, etc are guys they don't want to get rid of to make there drafts look better. Wouldn't surprise me one bit!

I still remember how the war room erupted when they were about to draft Wilcox in the 3rd rd. I remember thinking he must be pretty good if they're celebrating like this. :oldcouple:

Especially when Sanu is rumored to be asking $7M per from Atlanta.

I'll give you 4 WRs. You tell me who Dez is better than - Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Odell Beckham.

I'd rather not be the team Dez ages on. He's a mental midget who throws temper tantrums in times of adversity and he relies completely on his athletic ability on the field. Something that will fade over time. Leaving him to be a poor route running head case who can't get open. He's not a guy who will age well.

Beasley is nice in a limited role but very, very limited at that. It's not high on my priority list to replace him but I do believe we can upgrade that position with the right player. Someone with a little more size and speed.

I don't think much of Williams. He's a role player who is easily replaced and hopefully with someone more capable of producing consistently when the #1 is out of the lineup.
