I'll give you 4 WRs. You tell me who Dez is better than - Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Odell Beckham.

I'd rather not be the team Dez ages on. He's a mental midget who throws temper tantrums in times of adversity and he relies completely on his athletic ability on the field. Something that will fade over time. Leaving him to be a poor route running head case who can't get open. He's not a guy who will age well.

Beasley is nice in a limited role but very, very limited at that. It's not high on my priority list to replace him but I do believe we can upgrade that position with the right player. Someone with a little more size and speed.

I don't think much of Williams. He's a role player who is easily replaced and hopefully with someone more capable of producing consistently when the #1 is out of the lineup.

i could add a few more WR's to your list....Michael Floyd, Jarvis Landry, Julian Edleman, Demaryous Thomas, heck maybe even Martavious Bryant.

I think Dez is better than a few of those but I definitely think the other Bryant is better. I would love to have that beast on this roster. A.J. Green is another.

Stats don't mean everything to me (I know, I know).

I would just be more interested in a real burner. It would go well with our offensive scheme to run the ball and just have a legitimately burner WR. Even if that WR isn't massively productive, it compliments our run game, Dez, Witten and Beasley more. Sanu isn't a scary burner.

Yep - I agree ..Stats don't tell the full story. Just posted the stats to show T.Will has been a good WR2 from a production standpoint. I would not sign any of these free agent WRs because of the price tag. If the BOYS could draft Will Fuller from ND in the 3rd round that would be my ideal. That kid can really burn. He's a body catcher by legit 4.3 speed

It won't happen because I made a thread yesterday about getting him in the roster zone. I also made one about Mario before he was released and that went well also.

I can hear it now, Street won the offseason workouts!

Stop making threads!

Guess where Martavis Bryant went to school? ;)

Of course he is a beast.

If we sign Sanu it would surprise me. I don't think the front office believes WR is a need area. It's not to the point of obvious yet where they may start to suspect it.

I wouldn't mind Sanu, but i'm not suggesting to replace T-Will, we need more pieces in our WR corps....also I would really like Mike Wallace who just got released from Minnesota, now he could be the burner we desperately need.

Problem with Wallace is he can't catch. And people think Dez has a problem with not getting the ball. Mike Wallace complains every down he doesn't get the ball.

I'd much rather have Dez over Beckham. And if your problem with Dez is about temper tantrums (which cameras have shown he is not throwing temper tantrums, but encouraging teammates)...then what about Beckham and his absolutely inexcusable behavior against the Panthers in a game this year?

I think Hopkins is great, but he hasn't proven it for as long as Dez. I think Jones is great as well, but when we are comparing A Games and had to have a player come down with a pass when cloaked by defenders, I'll take Dez. That only leaves Brown although he is far, far, far better utilized that Dez. If an opponent is willing to put a LB on Brown and have a safety over the top, you can rest assure that the Steelers will take that and find a way to take full advantage of that. Garrett OTOH we might be lucky to see us take advantage of that 10% of the time until Garrett is basically held at gunpoint to do so.

Beasley is a matchup problem in the slot. I just don't see where you're going to get a more efficient producer than Beasley. But without Dez (or any X-receiver), then the defenses can key on Beasley. It's a bit unfair to blame that on Beasley because he's not an X-receiver, but very efficient at the slot if he has a legit X-receiver available.

I don't hate T-Will, but he's the most limited of the bunch and the least efficient of the group. You can only put him at the Z and his catch radius is small and you're going to get inconsistent play out of him. He's not really a burner, more deceptive speed wise. But, not a guy that scares D-Coordinators deep.

I still don't see the WR, at this point being a problem. Another WR would be more like putting the cart before the horse. Especially if Butler comes along nicely because he has the speed to help this team. I do think we need to give Hanna more opportunities in the passing game and see if he can reasonably supplant Witten.

Also depends on what Butler does. Although I don't know if he quite terrifies D-Coordinators. He's more of a guy to 'be careful of', but nothing like a deep threat where the opposing D-Coordinator just doesn't feel comfortable leaving a corner on him all alone. Fuller would be nice. Kind of like a Ted Ginn type. Ginn isn't a great receiver, but has enough speed to scare opposing defenses. Hopefully Fuller is a good special teams player.

Thank you. I was writing something very similar, good thing i scrolled down. If we utilized Dez the way Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Cincy utilize their top WR he would be a top 3 every single year. Heck, the only time he lines up in the slot is when ROMO puts him there. Its actually quite sad. How many slants do you see Dez run? How many times do you think a quick slant to Dez would result in major yardage? Its a travesty how inept our coaching staff is.
