I got a feeling people are going to be talking about that Cal Lutheren receiver come next Monday.

His highlights were actually quite impressive. He has height, long arms, decent hands and go up and get a deep ball with the best of them. He is a bit of a long strider and needs to learn route running but he can make catches in traffic, when covered well and on poorly thrown balls - those are the kinds of things you need to be able to do to make it in the NFL. Only very few are ever good enough to get wide open against NFL defenses.

I have high hopes for this kid. It'll probably take a year on the PS to bring him up to speed but he has NFL measurables and some things that jumped up off the highlight reel to me.

I always like track guys that seem to know how to play football. He is just behind the curve because of how small of a school he came from and how little of his time had been devoted strictly to football in the past. I think I read he was a long jump and triple jump competitor and national champ at one of them.

Demetrio Tyson, DT Jacksonville State. Looks promising. I know their highlights, but seems like he moves well.

Interesting prospect. He made some plays against big school teams like Florida and Arkansas.

He plays with a real good and low pad level.

He has a burst and can penetrate gaps with his short area quickness.

He has a motor and makes plays in pursuit.

He seems to be pretty physical and hits quite hard.

He was leaned up inside and outside so has versatility.

The one concern I have is with size and 6-1.6 and 275 pounds he is a bit small and probably why he wasn't drafted. I think he needs to get in there and probably put on 15 pounds at least to play DT in the NFL. He isn't tall or fast enough to play outside with only a 5.0 40 yard dash. He could be an exception as a small guy who can play because of leverage and technique. Like I said, he plays with a real good pad level.
