I don't know if we need more passing...I do know that when the running game is working great and we do play action for a long pass..that pass has to be accurate, one time and not into triple (or more) coverage.

Romo HAS been struggling with his accuracy on the deeper throws and decision making with throwing it in to triple (or) or more coverage.

He does seem reluctant to throw the ball and when he does is late at times. There are other times where he should also throw the ball away but takes the sack.

I don't care how many times they say he is 100% or ok, it is plain to all that he is not and it is also plain to the coaching staff as they have been holding him out of practices on multiple occasions during camp, preseason and now the regular season.

Everyone will love the run first, Romo bus driver stuff until we are facing 3rd and 6 with a minute to go and a four point lead; we run the ball into a cloud of dust for two yards, punt and an opposing QB goes straight down the field and we lose, a la New England 2011. Then it will all be about how Garrett is afraid to allow Romo to throw it with the game on the line, we paying 100 million for a bus driver who can't be trusted to seal the game, etc. etc.

You realize you leave yourself open for the first and ten with the ball and the chance to kick the winning field goal and Romo throws into double coverage with a linebacker sliding over for the pick, right?

Damed if you do, damned if you don't. In the first scenario, Garrett would be crucified for playing "not to lose". In the second, Romo would be crucified for "playing to win". I have a much easier time with the second than the first.

There's a reason these guys are on the field making a living, and message board posters are...message board posters.

You really should have watched the game. He made several good throws to convert third downs at clutch times in the games. If he wasn't capable of that we might have lost.

Man we play one of our best games in all areas in years and there is as much whining as ever around here.

Funny how he team is being more balanced and less Romo-everything but the fans can't let it go...

I did watch the game, and he missed some throws badly, and wasn't the least bit interested in scrambling in the pocket.

I loved the way they played because I'm a run-first guy. But I know what Romo looks like when healthy, and that's not close.

We need more explosive plays. With this run game, Romo should at least be able to take advantage of the defense 1-2 times a game. I think we had a couple of opportunities last game but pass pro didn't hold up. The hit he took to the back when Witten couldn't block his blindside was about to be a long TD pass to Dez.

Really? Didn't need them Sunday. I'm perfectly fine with 10-12, 6:00 drives, that keep their dfense on the field and Dallas' "D" off.

He actually looked quite a bit sharper in the 2nd half.

Yes, better, but not Romo.

He's short-arming throws, and he seems to have zero interest in going downfield or scrambling for time. He does so reluctantly. I'm not sure how far he can throw it these days. That duck he threw against San Fran to Harris, as well as others during camp, looked awkward and weak.

The explosive plays will be needed when the team faces a real QB...the secondary is actually tested, etc. Kaep and Locker?

I think we'll have some questions answered this week, Fisher will move everybody up to try and take away the run and short passes. Tony may be forced to put the ball up, well see how it goes. I'm counting on the fact that our running game may be unstoppable, lets hope so.

What has gotten Romo in trouble so many times is like chief apologist Jason Garrett half said so manny times: Romo tries to do too much.
Romo might extend his career if he learn to balance the offensive attack and not try to be a hero like Mannix so many time.
Hand the ball off to Murray early and often.
Witten and Dez can compliment Murray.

This scenario might not half been available in years past but I belief that as the O line gels and is chillin like Megellin, Murray will half more success. And 100-yards-plus days for Murray mean success for us. Also, it lets our offense lactate the clock and keep our work-in-progress defense safetly on the sidelines where they cant harm us.

damn i am good . . .

Thanks. That pass wasn't all that great. Unless a defender was coming underneath and he had to throw it a little low. Oh well. anytime Tony can get a "good pass" from some of these people ... I'll take it.

If you notice he threw it low and leading to keep both the defenders both over the top and trailing out of the play. If Romo let's that ball get away from him high, the safety crashing down on the pass has a chance to make a play. If he doesn't lead Bryant by a bit the defender trailing has a chance to get his hands in there. It was actually a really good pass considering the fact that Romo was on the run and had no chance to set his feet.

This is just my opinion and I have zero proof. During his career, I think Tony Romo has tried to compensate too much for other team weaknesses. He has elected to pass when the play wasn't there, sometimes hoping to pull a rabbit out of the hat. I think he has become conditioned into overcompensating by making plays happen out of nothing. Now, we are witnessing him fighting his conditioning by holding onto the ball and locking into receivers way too long. If true, it is the wrong mentality for any quarterback--much less one with Romo's natural mindset.

Interceptions are deadly to offensive drives but they are a part of football. Over the course of an entire game, I believe Romo has gotten to the point where he is being too careful with the ball. He is not playing loose and he's wanting to throw into perfect windows. I would not mind seeing some of the old Romo. It might be a good combination to go with the present running game. Just my $.02.

Escobar could come up big, if they actually make an attempt to get him involved.
