I understand the hesitancy with Gould and his demands but at this point just make the move.
Problem is Gould no longer kicks off.

Crosby was drafted by Mike. Not sure why they haven’t reached out yet. I know he is declining, but he is still reliable.

 he cost us a game in which he made 2 crucial 2nd half FGs in a close game....right. Not bozo Dak throwing to ghosts, or our inability to cover Kittle.
Didn’t say Dak was not at fault, I’m not talking about him. Going back to topic on hand, when the coaching staff has to make 4th down decisions and XP decisions with the kicker’s mental collapse in mind, yes, that kicker helped lose the game. There were calls in that game that were unusual. Two made FGs doesn’t erase that.

True, but he couldn't be trusted in crucial moments specially at the end when his head was not in the right place.
To me he fell apart when the league stopped them from setting a disc under the ball. That’s just a mental thing since it had little part to do with an extra point. I would have brought him in with competition to see if he fixed it. Until then he was having a great season

Preposterous nonsense. Name all these negative plays that were as a result of not trusting the kicker.

well, whatever mojo he had was lost. when you go 1-6 in XP in most important games of the year, its quite concerning. in 2019 he was 20-30 in field goals. in 2018, 29 of 36.
he is struggling mentally. he is unpredictable. that's the scary part. he can make a 61 yarder one week. then miss 4 XP another game.

He's unpredictable? No, he was very predictable last year. He was the best kicker in football outside of one game.

He was the difference in a # of games. He missed 1 FG inside of 58 yards all season. No kicker in team history can touch the season he had, and they cut him because of 1 bad game. Complete stupidity that bush leaguers will never understand.

and he had an epic melt down in post season. and that's what everyone complains about.

I think the team will ultimately realize they made a mistake in not retaining Maher.
A lot of NFL games are coming down to the wire and a FG can be the difference between a win and a loss; so no room to be bargain bin shopping for a kicker…the FO has done that for other positions with little success.
