This isn't on Beasley; he is met by defenders as soon as he catches the ball. It boils down to poor special teams and poor offense not moving the ball. When you go 3 and out and punt from your own 30 or 20, likely even if your defense gets a quick turn around, you aren't going to get good field position. You need to pin them back. How many touchbacks do we have or inside the opponents 20?

Harris was awful last year. Bease is doing fine. It doesn't help that he's had blockers running into him so he has to jump out of the way and the ball goes another 20 yards back. It also doesn't help that he has 2 or 3 defenders coming up on him when he catches the ball. Our guys are doing a terrible job with the other teams' gunners.

Kick returners need to just take the touchback every time. They've been stupid and awful.

This has as much to do with the constant three and outs on offense as the return game or defense. We can't flip the field on offense. Hell, we can barely get a first down.

Is this on JG? If anyone is to blame it's the front-office. It's their job to ensure all three aspects (offense, defense, and ST) of the team are adequately staffed.

I was told consistently by fans with inside info (meaning people who pull stuff out of their back sides) that Garrett has significant say in roster decisions, drafting and building the team. This was repeated ad nauseum last year when the team was playing well. Now that there are glaring deficiencies (back up QB, FS, PR/KR etc) that the team did not address, Garrett needs to bear the blame too
