Brandon Weeden has a lot more arm strength than Tony does. We're gonna have to take some deep shots down the field to keep defenses honest and prevent them from putting the clamps on the underneath routes.

We are going to see Weeden take some chances downfield. He is a gunslinger at heart.

I hope you're right because being too conservative will backfire. Even if the passes are incomplete, it'll give opposing defenses something to think about. With practice I believe Weeden can hook up with T-Will and Dunbar on some deep routes. And maybe Butler will learn the offense and contribute. Having the threat of the deep ball will help the running game too. Time will tell.

Interesting thoughts, gentlemen.
I am perty dern intrigued'deded on the premise that this team may see more of the long ball.
I actually welcome it.
A team tries to play safe all game... the DC will exploit that and you are still in trouble.

No Fear with Weeden. Win or Fail.

You have to find out this man's limits within the offense.

That's true. I don't believe he's much of a checkdown guy.

Interesting interview with Weeden on Dallascowboys.com.

http://www.dallascowboys.com/video/2015/09/23/weeden-anticipating-starting-continuous-preparation

He talks about how he feels about his arm. He also talks about the mindset this year coming in for 7 games instead of just 1 last year. Actually said last year, since he knew it was going to be just a week, that he didn't want to step on anyone's toes so he was more timid (stupid excuse but it seems to matter to the guy). Says he is embracing the leadership role and is ready to be more forceful and verbal. Talks about his tendencies and his growth. Its a good interview actually.

I think he'll be more of a checkdown guy than he wants to be... but I don't think he'll neglect to sling it.
I sincerely hope he does- sling it.
I hope our line gives him the time and comfort to see patterns through.

I'll smoke Weed for Weeden!
******, I'll do it right now!!!

Go! *cough cough cough*
Weed!
En!

And that guy who's on the team that throws that ball made from pogs, I mean pigs!
Romo!
No.

Dangit.
My man is down. My man Romo... Damn. We talking about that guy who grows Weeden.
Johnny Weedenseed!

Don't count out Johnny Weedenseed and those killer slants from, not only TWill, but a more acclimated BButler also (I hope).
I bet this Wednesday's practice had a lot of Brice's integration into the offense.
All week, in fact.

Will C-Mike be active? As a betting man, I would say:
No.

After only two games you must consider Romo was gone for half of one game and Dez was gone for a game. With Weeden taking control now is the time to worry.

Every moment is a moment to worry.
How much effort do you want to exert into worry on a Wednesday evening over this?
That is the question, poor Yeoric.

It was all depend on what game plan designed to suit his strengths. I thought all along that a similar offense that he ran at OSU would be beneficial to him, though missing Dez is big.

Him using Dunbar/Randle & Beasley with Street thrown in should be fun
