Lolol...your brilliance is on full display...there's no team in the NFL that's going to mop the Lions for 4 quarters...how many points do you want to win by? 40?...you don't need to dominate a team for 4 quarters..it's a chess match..clearly your knowledge of this game is limited..stick with with your day job

I swear some of our fans live in a fantasy world where you're not "playoff ready" or a "contender" unless your team is absolutely flawless. It's ridiculous.

Right now, we ARE the definition of "playoff ready".

Just saying....buncha penalties and look like mediocre garbage for the first half doesnt scream playoff ready to me...and apparently garrett neither since he had some awfully upset looks on the sideline.

Of their last 4 games, last year, it did appear so for the majority.

Scores like:

44-16
33-14
27-10

Domination for the entire game.
That's not what their last 4 games looked like before the playoffs :lmao2: wanna try that again? See, you ran your mouth so you gotta come with FACTS. Shall we continue?

It's absolutely fantasy land

You have two teams who game plan all week to play for 60 mins...inferior teams are going to find ways to make plays..

Superior teams find ways to adjust and put their foot down...that's what happened last night..

Playing dominant football for 4 quarters every week isn't realistic and it's definitely not the definition of playoff ready..

This team is absolutely ready

Still caught up on a score or a W.

You SHOULD be worried about Zach Zenner's 12 for 67 and 2 TD's. That is horrific, and a concern.

67 yards rushing in a game is now "horrific"?

The Lions average 22 points a game... they scored 21, the Lions average 83 yards rushing a game... they ran for 90, the Lions throw for 261 yards a game... they passed for 260.

The Lions defense gives up 22 points a game... we scored 42, they give up 103 yards rushing a game... we ran for 164, they give up 236 passing yards a game... we passed for 222.

This isn't a 4-10 team we played. This was a team that HAD to win last night and we held them at or below their season averages with a banged up defense. That defense shut them out in the 2nd half and forced two turnovers with 4 sacks. The "bend don't break" defense didn't even bend in the 4th quarter when Detroit was playing for the playoffs.

Was it perfect, no. Sure there are things they can and will clean up. Was it "horrific"? C'mon man.

Exactly. The Lions are a good team in their own right. And we just smashed them in a game where we had nothing tangible to play for. This is exactly the type of game where we could've mailed it in. Instead we dropped a 40 burger on them.

Guarantee NOBODY in the NFC wants to come to Jerry World right now. We are the clear cut #1.

Yeah, but we aren't ready for the playoffs ..in the playoffs we will have to face Marvel and Capcom..clearly last night's performance won't get it down vs those guys

Domination for the entire game.

38-35 win with a last second field goal against a 6-10 Giants team
13-20 loss to an 8-8 Falcon team
38-10 win against a 6-10 Buccaneer team

Their real last three games were not exactly the same as the numbers you posted.

It was a concern. And then the team made adjustments and he had 2 yards in the 2nd half.

Zeke had 80 yards and 2 tds on limited carries

Dez caught 2 tds, threw for one and drew a PI to the 2 yard line.

Dak threw for 3 tds and completed 75 pct of his passes.

A depleted DL made a huge adjustment and got a handful of sacks , pressures and a TO

A depleted secondary got a pick, a bunch of great defensed passes and locked em down when it mattered.

I'd argue that after getting gashed, trading blows and falling behind a playoff team that a lot of folks predicted were a tough matchup for us, making the adjustments, not limping off the field with a "this game is meaningless" attitude, and coming back out and beating the breaks off of them is a really good "playoff ready" indicator

the score doesnt say it all like you all want.

21-21 at the half. Our defense was making zach zenner look like sweetness
I agree, rough start with lots of mental errors. Poor play selection and the team just looked disinterested after the first drive. The defense looked like they were afraid to engage and totally lost the first half. That said, they made the proper halftime adjustments and unloaded on Detroit which was very encouraging. Mind you, it took Chucky from the ESPN press box to point out to the Dallas coaches that Dez was basically covered by a 3rd string CB, but they finally caught on.
This team is so "box of chocolates" unpredictable. And opposing offensive and defensive coordinators hate unpredictable. We have to shore up the mental errors on offense and we'll be ready for a run.

I saw the thread you started and comments in here and have surmised one of 3 things a) you either aren't a Cowboys fan; b) you are looking to complain about anything or c) you are just an unhappy fan no matter what

Yes penalties are an issue, etc but we played a top offense and team this year in a meaningless game for us and won, rolled on offense and actually still looked like we were having fun. Hard not to be half full on this game

Sorry, but thats not playoff ready.

Playoff ready is controlling the game from start to finish...not just half of it.

If you think half of it is going to win versus atlanta or new england, then you need to quit huffing glue.
the glues pretty good sheet, man. I seen a lot of good Super Bowl games where teams plays poorly and came
on in the second half to win. Teams today's aren't solid in all phases like the old NFL teams
I do get your point some of that is we're well conditioned team that carries us in the forth quarter
Our talent could certainly be upgraded at spots

I was less impressed when the corner they had on dez was one who has only started 3 games and came off someone else's practice squad as a special teamer. Thats just not a stout team, imo.
