Well you are always funny and right.

Now you're getting it.

That must be why you have never been banned.

LOL. I embrace those vacations as a badge of honor. You're certainly no stranger to cheapshots and personal attacks, so how many times have you been banned? If the answer is once or never, color me unsurprised. Or maybe you think it was a coincidence that Clove, a harsh critic of the team, was recently voted "worst forum poster." The fix is always in around here, and that's what you count on.

I am trying really hard to be as realistic as you guys ..... I will get there ..... I am sure.

Please accept me friend.

24 hours later, still painfully unfunny.

I'll turn 47 next week and have been a Cowboy fan since about 1970 or so. I've been through many great years and some bad (late 1980's, and early this decade). I'll forever be one of the biggest Dallas Cowboy fans that has ever lived. I'll always support the team and I'll watch every damn game and pull for them with everything I have. I'll wear my Cowboy shirts, etc. regardless of their record. However, I'm not going to invest myself so emotionally in them anymore. I have always been depressed the entire week following a loss, and particularly following a big loss. It's not healthy for me. My wife and daughter can't stand to be around me when they lose. That's no way to live life. Again, I'll always be the biggest fan on the planet, but I'm not going to let something I have absolutely zero control over cause such turmoil in my personal life. I know it's not true, but sometimes I truly feel that I want them to win more than the players do.

I know what yew means. I feel that way ever time the Cowboys lose. And when they play agin I am always there with my Busch Light and my organically grown veggies and Bulgarian hot dishes.
It's a disease. I can't ever get away from them Cowboys. They is in my DNA and in my sugar plum dreams. they is the swizzle in my knizzle and are the creme de la creme in my culinary soul. they are gods and they are monsters, they is my religion and my salvation.
I figer iffin I can stand the Wade Phillips years i will ALWAYS be a fan.
Not like zrin. Not like yew. Not like the sulky convenience store gal on Harry Hines who rufused to scan my coupons for beef jerky.

Amen.

I know ..... those homer moderators are the worst.

They intentionally harass anyone who does not tow the company line.

You should be proud of the fact that you like to break the rules and have never donated to a site you spend so much time on .....

I hope to be like you one day.

Well duh. You're obviously a big believer in wacky coincidences.

Why should I? Does an abused pet jump into its owners arms when he/she comes home at the end of the workday? They've let you slide over the years, so you return the favor. Quid pro quo. In any event, my humor, insight, vids and photographs are more than enough "compensation" for roosting here.

I hope to be like you one day.

Dare to dream.

I deal with "proud Patriots fans since 2002" on a daily basis.

I love to ask them to name three Patriots QB's.

Shuts just about all of them up in a hurry.

Most of them can't name two!

LOL. Patriots fans are the worst. I find it really hard to believe anyone outside of Boston was ever a true Patriots fan. Back in 2002, my college roomie claimed to be a Patriots fan the week of the super bowl, but he NEVER ever even mentioned the Patriots before then, and we used to play NFL tournaments on playstation 2 all the time.

Another one that gets me are the Steelers fans. I live in Carolina and before they won the SB, you never saw any Steelers gear, now every other person has a Steelers jersey and flags on their cars. It's really ridiculous and sad, but I'll continue to sport my Cowboys gear as always even though it provokes a lame insult on a daily basis. But we will see all the closet fans come out when the Cowboys start winning again.

No, but I never missed him. I would have been banned more than he expect while he was shooting off his mouf i was busy sending payoffs to the mods in the form of car parts and beach volleyball magazines if you know what ah mean.

Do you know how many Cowboys he has had to badmouth to get to the level of poster he is today?

I may be blind but at least i am not heartless. Well, maybe a little bit heartless but that comes from living in Farmers Branch.

A pox on both of you!!!

Ummm...I know you're only 18 so you get a pass :) but the majority of people who know, know that as Troy Aikman once stated, "Dallas is not a Cowboys town...it's a winners town."

In traveling all over this great country to see the Cowboys play from Buffalo to San Diego, some of the most die-hard, intelligent and loyal fans are the ones have never been in the state of Texas. These are people who have an emotional investment in a team that they've only seen on television since they were kids.

Texas is great, I love Dallas...but never confuse the truer fan base.
Great post.

The Monday Morning Blues: Tony Romo, Cowboys Losing Fans with Lackluster Play

If you didn't already know, I am a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. I bleed blue, and no one in the state of New Jersey is a bigger fan than I am. I stick by my team despite all the heckling and trash-talking that comes my way (and it's a ridiculous amount, because I live in a state that is 75 percent Giants fans, but 80 percent of those fans became fans right after they won the Super Bowl...great fanbase guys!).

I grew up in NJ. Family of NY Gints fans. BS on your 75%; you need to get out of whatever township you never leave. NJ has been solidly Giant fans since the '50s. If anything, a part of the population becomes Jets fans when they are good. But NJ has been Giant territory for decades.

But I'm here to tell you now...I am done rooting for players that don't care about their fanbase or what that star represents on the side of their helmets. I'll still root for this team week in and week out, but why invest so much stress and time into a team full of players that do not even care if they win or lose?

Ninety percent of the players on the Dallas Cowboys are there because they have been blessed with unique abilities but don't play with any heart. They are there to collect a paycheck and go home to their million-dollar mansions.

And you know this how? It kills me when 'fans' can magically look into the hearts of players and know the level of their dedication and care, all because they either (a) do not win, or (b) do not lie prostrate at midfield and collectively slash their wrists.

Show me a player who doesn't care enough to learn the playbook, or who is out of shape, or half ***** through plays - that's someone who's heart can be questioned. A player who doesn't succeed to the level of fan's expectations? That's on the fan, not the player.

I cannot root for a quarterback that routinely, week in and week out, fools his fanbase into believing that he is genuinely trying to get better each week. The reality is that he doesn't care enough about the game of football and his fanbase. Sure, he says all the right things after games, but he doesn't go and act on them.

Nice opinion. No basis in reality, but nice opinion.

Tony Romo needs to call up Peyton Manning and have a long talk about what it takes to succeed in the NFL at the quarterback position. Even though Romo has only been in the league three years as a starter, he's been around long enough to know that what he is doing is not working.
It's time for a change, Mr. Romo.

If there is anything he needs to ask Peyton is how is coped with being universally acclaimed as a loser, choker and bad QB for the six years it took him to win a playoff game.
So until this team starts caring about how they play on the field, and they figure out what that star on the side of their helmets represents, I'll be watching with a cautious eye. I won't be fooled by a joke organization again. Start showing some heart, and some fight, and that's when you win back the fanbase that you men have destroyed.

So until you win in a manner that makes me happy and content, I'm off the bandwaggon. Unless you just win. Then I'm back on.

Till then, full pout mode.
