Good question. Besides Cousins... what QB has played under the tag? What QB hasn't played under a tag? I don't know where this no way business comes from

You mean Stevie will flinch.Jerry will flinch, Zeke proves it.
DO NOT WAIT FOR MAHOMES.The rams ruined the market when they signed there RB and we paid for it. They went along after wentz and we are paying for that to. I wish wentz and goff signed for 25 million a year. Don’t wait for mahomes to sign.
The problem with this line of thought is that it presupposes that the only reason McCarthy comes to Dallas is because he's sold on Dak. Well, if you don't have a job and you are looking for a job, you say what your prospective employer wants to hear. I mean, I don't know for sure but how many teams were beating McCarthy's door down? I have no idea but I don't remember him being the hot ticket HC. Jerry hired him because he's sold on his successful track record with HOF caliber QBs. That's why Jerry brought him here, he has a track record and he has a Super Bowl, that's why he's here. But that doesn't mean that McCarthy is 100% on board with Dak or that Dak can run his offense. That's just dumb. I mean, he might be able to but there is no guarantee of that. McCarthy is now the head coach. He has a contract. Now, I don't know what the details are but you figure, Garrett was making 30 mil on his deal so it's very likely that at minimum, it's at least that. He has full control of all Football decisions on the field so if he comes in and decides Dak is not the guy, he can make that call. Now, Jerry can fire him but he's still on the hook for whatever is in the contract. That's hard money in McCarthy's pocket and exactly hwo poorly would that reflect on McCarthy? He gets hired on to fix Dallas, he gets fired the minute he goes against Jerry and how does that not help him in the long run. That would be the narrative at play if it came down to it. McCarthy would have another job in a year and he'd be that much richer.
I don't agree with this guys line of thought. I think Jerry wants Dak to be the guy but the idea that Dak is a given because McCarthy believes him to be is hogwash IMO. That's not how you win as a Coach. You make everybody prove it every year.
I've often wondered what it's like to live in Seattle with all that rain.
I live in a desert.
It’s easy to blame jerry and many who blame him now would have been screaming if he had signed him sooner
I honestly wasn’t convinced until this year he was a guy to pay
But he convinced me and he’s gonna get paid
The media has to have something to talk about but he will be signed in the next 30 days and it’s not gonna be 40 mil
Good question. Besides Cousins... what QB has played under the tag?
Since 2010 only 1 QB has played under the tag, Cousins. The tag has only been used on a QB 5 times since 2010. Twice on Cousins, once on P. Manning (the season he sat out due to neck injury) once on Brees and Vick. The tags on Brees and Vick were rescinded before the start of the season, they used the tag to get more time to hammer the details and both signed mega deals.Good question. Besides Cousins... what QB has played under the tag?
I'm all for it........a little tough love might be the way to go.
Current projections of the 2020 QB Transition tag are $24,373,000.
Franchise tag is $26,895,000.
Transition would allow Dallas to match the offer.
Franchise tag would allow Dallas to match the offer or take 2 #1s (or as others like to point out make a deal).
Tag ! Tag ! Tag !
I thought it was the other way around.Current projections of the 2020 QB Transition tag are $24,373,000.

Yeah don't know what QB besides Cousins has played under the tag. That right there is a sign to me that regardless of what they say publicly they feel similar to some "Dak haters" if he ends up having to play on the tag and not getting a long term deal done. Qb's don't get let alone play on the tag if he's their guy. Now other positions yeah but QB I can't really even think of another outside of Cousins where a "franchise QB" had to do all this to get a deal done.Good question. Besides Cousins... what QB has played under the tag?

Whatever dude. I simply asked a question and you go all digging into it.Yeah don't know what QB besides Cousins has played under the tag. Good discussion. Compares Dak and Goff and asks if the Rams are regretting their stupid decision of signing their mediocre player.
