Cowboys meeting with South Carolina CB Jaycee Horn

I'm wondering if they can work a deal to move down in the 1st Round and add a pick than move up in the 2nd round costing
them a pick and landing both Jaycee Horn CB and Moehrig Safety. I would be real happy with this and next picks would include
DL, LB and OL in best player available order.

Risen, what is your take on him? Or for taking a CB in the 1st round for that matter. I've always respected your knowledge of college players and your draft analysis.

There's no CB in this draft really worthy of the 10th pick. I'd move down before I did that but I like Horn as much as I do Surtain. I think he's got more upside but Surtain is safer. He will not be a bust.

Would love to have him in a trade down to 15-17 and pickup another 2nd RD pick.

For them to be looking at Horn its because they have no intentions at staying at 10. They know what they can get for teams wanting to move up. If rumors are right, the Chargers want to move up to 10. With the package in return being 13 and 47 picks.

With those picks we can definitely select at 13, 44 and 47 three defensive players that can help this team immediately. There are a bunch of CB after the Farley and Surtain tier that are all the same. Deep class. With that said you can pick what is the best player available defensively with your 13th pick outside of CB. Use the 44 or 47 picks to plug hole at CB and where ever else.

It worked for Kevin Costner in the movie Draft Day. Why not the Cowboys!!!!

I think they're going to entertain trade down offers. This feels like the right move.

Diggs was grabby too. Don't know first hand but I'll bet Harris worked with him on that.

Not taking horn at 10. Either in a trade down or if he falls further then we think, would not be against trading back up to the end of first for him either.
