Do you know what I would like to see?

I would like to see a game in which the Cowboys didn't pass a single time. Just for the fun of it. I don't think they would win, of course. For one thing, it would be low scoring and I don't think this defense would be any help. However, I think the Cowboys would be the team closest to pulling it off.

With that in mind....backup quarterback? I wouldn't break the bank, perhaps keep an eye on the first round of cuts. Otherwise, give it to the Kid, why not?

As far as pass rush, sure, get some bodies in there, age doesn't matter, results for 2016 do. I think the Cowboys are generally regarded as a serious contender and this may sway some long tooth veteran like Freeney.

I hate the idea of using 2017 draft picks to upgrade. That's like using a credit card with a high rate of interest. The Cowboys went down that road a couple of times and paid too high a price.

So let me get this straight. The backup QB we had....Weeden....who had the benefit of a couple of mini camps....a couple of training camps....and a couple of preseasons...who was the most improved player on the team last offseason....and who threw the prettiest ball Jerry Jones ever did see....could not get first downs...could not score points..could not win games. But we expect to bring somebody in....without all the aforementioned advantages...and said person will be able to get first downs, score points and win games if Romo goes down?

Again....the problem in Dallas is BIGGER than the personnel....Matt Cassell won games in New England....made the Pro Bowl in KC. Weeden went to the Texans and won a game. Why is so hard for media/fans etc...to grasp that this is BIGGER than the actual player?

It's a trend that players who leave this toxic environment Jerry has created the last 2 decades go on to perform better on their new teams. And you will have some not afraid to take shots at Dallas when they get to their new team. There is a huge issue on this team starting with Jerry and going down to the coaching staff. But he's the head of the snake. They just follow his lead.

If that truly is your base feeling on Jerry and the Cowboys, the solution is very, very simple...pick another team.

Garrett wanted EE so badly

I think Zeke was the only thing we got right this offseason ....... so we disagree there ......... but I see what you are saying ...... Garrett does not get a pass for any of this ....... even if all he did not do was stand up to Jerry.

Thanks, Stash...I try to be an asset. I'm sorry if we sometimes bump heads...all is good. Let's have some fun this year...:)

Even when we disagree (a lot!), I always remember that we ultimately want the same thing. Wins for our beloved Cowboys, and lots of 'em!

Can we start with bad coaching, bad drafting and a meddling Owner/GM..

I wasn't the biggest fan of the pick, but I can see the positives of it. I'm really not a fan of the contract.

There are a few issues I have with the pick (and more with the contract):

1. As a whole, RB's burn out quickly.

2. You can find quality RB's later in the draft.

3. (to a lesser extent)...Big-10 RB

I also really liked what Jalen Ramsey brought to the table, but thought it was a major coup for us to get Paxton Lynch as well. We had a shot by simply trading back and we would have gotten EE anyway.

With our current issues, D-Law was a Garrett pick as he was coveted by Marinelli who is Garrett's guy. We gave up a good pick to trade up for D-Law. McClain was brought in by Garrett, but now Jerry wants to keep him. Again...just as Jerry's bad decisions could cause Garrett to make bad decisions, the opposite is true. And to Jerry's credit on this one...we don't have a MIKE. Personally, I would get rid of McClain, but I can see the point of keeping him because you may just need him down the road.

I'm not angry at Jerry for Gregory. The guy was a legit top-5 talent and was probably the best pure and technically sound pass rusher in the past 2 drafts. He fell to us late in the 2nd round and we took a chance. It's amazing how much of an idiot Gregory is. But when you make a risky decision it's not wise to make more risky decisions. And that's what Jerry doesn't understand.

But, I do believe that a better coach would overcome all of this and overcome it rather easily. That's what I don't buy into...the theory that NO coach could be successful under Jerry. I honestly believe that if we had somebody like Jim Harbaugh or Pete Caroll or Bruce Arians, we would be a much better team.

I'm completely on board that this present season is a judge all for the coaching of the Dallas Cowboys. I think that Jason Garrett, and both of his Coordinators should be held accountable at the conclusion of this season...and that is what it is.

Baltimore would have been glad to taken EE a 6 or 7 IMO
