If a player like Jones was added to the Cowboys for the veterans minimum it wouldn't be considered a mega move by the team remotely in the category of adding Suh.

My point is that he was cut by another team and available for the veterans minimum.

I agree that Jones is not a max player signing like Suh, only disagree that he was a bottom of the roster churn. Semantics perhaps.

but what can they do about it then? hardy will be back in 2 weeks so one answer they got just hasn't gotten here yet. another in gregory got hurt in game 1. the only real moves they can make are churning the bottom because the top is set for the most part.

i just wonder what other kind of move could be made here we could afford and we wouldn't be giving up yet another future pick to put everything into this year.

Not sure if Hardy or Gregory are solutions to problems stopping the run, especially up the gut.

McClain may be, though.

The d-line just needs to be relentless; the run defense will work itself out eventually.

We did bring Edwards back, just not on the active roster -

Levar Edwards would make sense, but they seem inclinded to make trades these days.

They cut a DT Coleman but need to move the DT Jack Crawford back to DT from DE. I think a DE is most likely.

They had LBs Wilber and Wilson (6', 240) playing some snaps at DE in the Falcons game.

good call
