He is actually pretty successful in quick release passes he attempts. Good!Dak and "quick release" in the same sentence lol.....

NO.Guyton ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY MUST BE MOVED TO RT.
disagree. Lets see how he develops year 2 offseason programs, new staff IE NEW OL Coach , new TE coach and ...... the new OC, one of the best OL coaches in the league of late.. so maybe they have scheme and teach better tech to this kid..Guyton ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY MUST BE MOVED TO RT. He is NOT a LT. Put the kid from Kansas in there and roll.
The fact of the matter is that his major injuries have come from non-contact plays.......his body has been steadily failing and it's get exponentially worse with age.Dak better have a quick release to stay healthy enough to stay on the carpet.
Yup.If OL doesn't happen in the first round then it won't happen before the 4th round, if that is acquired. Dak better have a quick release to stay healthy enough to stay on the carpet.
Brock Hoffman is not AVERAGE playing at Right Guard. He is ABOVE AVERAGE.Hoffman and Beebe and are fine where they are and there is no urgency to move Beebe. The team has much bigger issues to address and adding center to the list isn't a wise move. Hoffman is an average NFL G which is fine for now. Steele and Guyton are the bigger OL problems.
pretty sure they're just referring to Beebe as a 3rd round pick.I would think a 3rd round pick, if used on OL, is going to be more of a Hoffman replacement for 2026 after he walks in free agency for a comp pick than legitimate competition for 2025. You already have guys on the roster who can start in this league. Either look for serious upgrades to the OL or go ahead and lock these guys into spots for this year so they can focus on getting reps at one spot and focus on gelling as a unit the second that mini camp starts.
Isn't Hoffman just a RFA next year? He won't be expensive to keep for another year.As far as depth goes I think you're 100% correct, but how many of our interior guys are above average? I'd say 1 right now in Smith, with Beebe having upside to get there. Hoffman has flashed, but also had a couple rough games last year too. As much as I would love to upgrade the Tackle spots it just doesnt seem to be in the cards for the Cowboys this year. Personally I think the next best thing they could do is look to add a better player on the interior to really make that a strength of the team instead just OK. The better you are on the interior the more resources you can dedicated to helping those outside guys.
Plus with Hoffman reaching FA next year odds are you can either address the position this year or wait and have it be a bigger issue next year. We will have to wait and see but Hoffman seems to be the McGovern/Biadasz/Williams type of player that they love to let walk for a comp pick.
We are about to figure out really quickly if we are committed to the run or not with our first 2 picks. Is the new starting ROG currently on the roster or will the Cowboys address it early draft weekend?
Cowboys must prioritize 3rd-round pick's ceiling in potential OL shuffle

With Zack Martin and Tyler Smith entrenched at the guard spots, it made sense for the Cowboys to try Beebe out in the middle. It got the best five linemen on the field and covered a major hole in the process. It also fit Beebe's athletic profile a little better since some questioned Beebe's measurables at guard. At the end of the day, it was a win-win.
Looking at the landscape today, Beebe appears to have a brighter future with the Cowboys than Hoffman. Beebe has the higher athletic ceiling, he’s younger and he’s under contract longer. Hoffman’s a free agent after the upcoming season and faces an extremely uncertain future. Based on circumstances the Cowboys should make their positional decisions focused on the more important player. If they determine Beebe can be someone special at center one day, then it’s a position the guy should probably stick with.

Hoffman was a practice squad guy in 2022 as a rookie. He didn't start getting roster years until 2023. So he will only have 3 years as a vet after 2025 which would make him a restricted free agent in 2026.Is the new starting ROG currently on the roster or will the Cowboys address it early draft weekend?

Unless a stud left tackle was there I’m not going oline. Unless a stud OT or DT is there, I’m going WRAs I have been saying, the Cowboys project is not a 1 year fix. I would not use a pick in the first 2 days to fix the OL this year - unless they trade down and pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd. But the question is, is there anyone in the 3rd round better this year than what the Cowboys already have? I am not so sure there is. I would pose the same question about WRs. If they are going to take a WR, I think he needs to be in the first or 2nd round. After that, the pickings get a lot slim.
I seriously hope they don't go offense with the first two picks. There is much bigger needs on defense. We are about to figure out really quickly if we are committed to the run or not with our first 2 picks.
If a stud LT or DT was there then that’s were I’d look. But don’t see either being there at 12. If a LT was there I’d move on from Steele and move our LT to RT where he’s actually played most of his games in collegePlain and simply again, OFFENSIVE TACKLES. Lowest group possibly in the entire NFC East.
We have run problems on both sides of the ball. Jerry historically is an offensive guy. I could see him going WR/RB.I seriously hope they don't go offense with the first two picks. There is much bigger needs on defense.
They can have a significantly big commitment to the run without adding a RB or WR with those picks.
I don’t see a defensive player that’s gonna be there at 12 worth that pick. The talent and also a big need is likely gonna be a WR. We can afford to waste this pick on a reach like **** or taco. Get the best playerI seriously hope they don't go offense with the first two picks. There is much bigger needs on defense.

Deep draft at RB. A WR is likely to be there best player on the board at 12. Now if a stud DT fell that’s where I go but don’t see that hapoeningWe have run problems on both sides of the ball. Jerry historically is an offensive guy. I could see him going WR/RB.
With all of our holes, I can see him trading back unless someone falls to us.

I guess I'm not completely sure....Spotac lists him as a UFA for 2026. Technically though he would be a 3 year guy with an expired contract so he would fit the RFA rules. Maybe you cant be a RFA after being a ERFA? Not sure the specifics on the rules there.Isn't Hoffman just a RFA next year? He won't be expensive to keep for another year.
Membou is a beast. But Campbell and Simmons are just barely under him. What I love about the Missouri kid is his flex. He can be guard or tackle day 1. He's a Tyler Smith Clone. I wouldn't be mad taking himI am already on record as saying Membou is the only OL I would take at 12. But I also agree, the Cowboys should load up on the DL and make it a strength.
