Cowboys must remember how Jets beat us in 2019

The 2019 Cowboys finished 8-8 while the Jets ended up 7-9. It wasn't the massive upset some still make it out to be.

That's why many of the guys who played in that game are long gone.
Edoga was there … on the Jets

Most of the players on the squad in 2023 weren't here in 2019. They don't give a crap what happened then nor will it be motivation. It's a nothing game and I'm sure those that were here in 2019 don't even remember that as much as fans do.
you can believe dak, pollard, zach martin, vanderish, delawrence, remember

I’m pretty sure that was the game that pushed Jerry over the edge with Garrett.

After they lost to New England later in the year, he referenced the Jets game in frustration.

I was in the building that day, and quite the eventful and emotional day for me otherwise which I won’t get into, but as bad as it was, if thats what got Garrett out here, you take it all day long.
exactly jerry jones remembers to

Remember what? A team that beat them 4 years ago and has an entirely different cast of players need to get vengeance brought upon them? This is silly.

Just go out and execute the gameplan. There is no rah-rah BS like this needed against the freakin' Jets.

That's the game that mutt Amari Cooper quit on the team.
I remember that game. It influenced my personal life. I was in the process of naming my new puppy and I wanted to name her something that reflects my Cowboys fan hood. So I named her Dallas. I almost named her Amari because I really like that name. But after that game I didn’t want my dog to disappear when she’s not at home.

QBs have a habit of playing their best games against Dallas. Look no further than Sam Darnold who out dueled Dak in 2019 playing one of the best games of his career. I wouldn't put it by this guy Zach Wilson who was apparently talented enough to drafted #2 overall in a QB heavy draft.

I was at the game and what I remember most was darnold lighting us up. If I’m not mistaken it was also his first game back from missing time due to injury and he wasn’t even expected to play. We also had a bunch of injuries (we got to do an early “Cooooooopppp” and then he was out) that game and the refs made themselves way too noticed in the game And were a big part of the story.

wasn't Darnold just getting back from having mono?

Yes and then they would go on to dump him despite lighting us up. Shannon showed up on Monday with a hoarse voice from cheering on the Jets.

This is also when Jerry and Dak both dug in on contract negotiations. That loss to the Jets and how we lost it...echoes...

I was at that game. They sat a bunch of players thinking it was a mini bye week and slept walk through 60 mins.

I remember leaving thinking “Well, at least this is the nail in Jason Garrett’s coffin”.

Went with a few buddies that are Jets fans and it was like they won the Super Bowl. The Jets fans think they have a chance in a slug fest this weekend, that they have a better defense. They have no respect for Dak or our offense. They’re all thinking a 14-10 or 13-6 type of game. That were a soft defense who can’t stop the run and they’re going to run down our throats. I hope we hang 40 on them and Parsons throws Zach Wilson through the center of the earth.

We have a chance to build some serious momentum these next few weeks, we should stomp out everyone heading into that 49ers game.
