Cowboys need a QBs with the "It" or "He's that Guy" Factor

That's your best counter argument. I don't blame you for going there. Facts certainly aren't going to help you.
I counter with that when someone is a waste of time. Don’t waste my time.

Not a Dak fan at all, but you can win a ton of games with him by actually taking your rushing attack seriously.

We're stuck with him now, so we need to concentrate on getting that next stud running back that can take over games, and some more big, physical linemen.
Yep. We are stuck with him for the next 4 years so we might as well try and build a team and get a HC that can scheme to his strengths. Build the team with a strong running game so Dak doesn't have to do it all. Build a line that will give him time so he doesn't go into panic mode 10 times a game and makes dumb mistakes. On D we have to add pieces that can stop the run and pressure the QB to create TOs. We can draft his replacement in a couple years but we just can't eat that much cap right now. We know Dak is servicable if he doesn't have the pressure to do it all. Draft and FA must be RB/OL/DL

The Watson deal is the worst ever, but the Dak deal is the 2nd worst ever.

Both teams made bummy, loser QBs the highest-paid players ever.

At least Watson had talent, but he stopped caring. Dak can have all the care in the world, but he doesn't have the talent.
Now that Dak got paid he no longer cares either.

He's more worried about his next mega mansion and his swag and man purses.

Wins are a cool side hustle but they're not his primary motivation at this point.

Does Jerry really want a player that’s so good, that people would give him the credit for leading the team to a Super Bowl.
It is about credit. However, I do not believe it does not have anything to do with his quarterback leading the team to a Super Bowl. It is everything to do with everyone acknowledging Jerry Jones sees something in his quarterback that others do not necessarily see in accomplishing that goal.

I do not agree with Jones. That said, I totally believe he sees Dak Prescott (and Tony Romo before him) as quarterbacks as capable as Troy Aikman.

It is always important for anyone to shut their brains down for a moment and consider how Jones' head works instead. He thinks he is a football genius. Simply put, he paid Prescott (and Romo) as top tier quarterbacks because he thinks they are more than good enough.

Sure, paying his quarterback helps puts butts in seats. Acknowledging greed should not prevent anyone from comprehending an individual, who honestly thought '500 coaches' could win with his team, does not have the necessary mental assessment tools for evaluating players too.

Keep in mind. Those same assessment tools convinced Jones to go behind his own front office and negotiate with San Franciso for acquiring Trey Lance. That is only one of several examples through the decades of the man's mindset.

Signing Dak on the day of the first game of the season was the dumbest move in NFL history
I think that deal was worked out well in advance, just announced that day to steal headlines.

Goff and Dak will forever be linked due to being drafted the same year, 2016. However, Goff was drafted 1st overall out of CAL while Dak was drafted in the 4th out of Mississippi St

Over the years nothing has changed. McVay traded Goff away even after playing in a SB because at the time Goff couldn't read a defense and McVay had to read it for him and relay it before communications were cut from his helmet. Dak also played like a 4th round pick and couldn't win the big games (playoffs).

Dallas needs to draft a QB who has a dog in him. Someone who hates losing more than life itself. So be it the 1st round or all the way to the 4th, the QB must have heart.
Sure, get an elite QB who gains as many yards running as passing because he’s faster than most front 7 defenders.
1. That won’t make all the difference, not with the roster we have on both sides of the field. Ignore your QB bias and look at nothing but the other guys on the roster. We have less than Philly and Washington, and I would argue less than NY in some positions.
2. Where do we find that QB? Is he in this year’s draft? No. Most years, that guy isn’t in any draft.

What this team needs right now is for Jerry to get off his boney butt and build an adequate, competitive front 7 on defense and add 2-3 actual playmakers, including some speed, to the offense. If he does that,
1. We will compete now with our under contract franchise QB.
2. We will be better prepared if we get a chance to work with a new franchise QB down the road.

But if you think Daniels could have taken the Dallas Cowboys to the playoffs and any playoff success this year with our roster, you are delusional.

"Why is Dak being talked about in a QB thread on a Cowboys forum? They're obsessed!" - Dak over Dallas fans.
You’re obsessed with Dak and it’s obvious to anyone who regularly posts here. I haven’t seen you on the board since the Cowboys season ended but as soon as Dak is mentioned you’re back chirping about him. You’re a one trick pony.

The Cowboys need a qb that can run and escape and they need a dominant runner and they need a dominant dtackle. 4 first round picks and 2 free agents ought to do the trick.

He's nuts.

Heart with no talent gets you nothing.
Truth,,, most can agree that Dak has been a hard worker and has tried to improve every season, he's just got a low ceiling and a GM who inexplicably keeps building teams 100% reliant on the QB carrying everything. He would like to be better, he just can't.
