Williams is a very good 3 and has a chance to be a solid 2 but if Dez was to go down for some reason we will not win any games being a heavy passing attack with Terrence Williams and Cole Beasley as our receivers (This is Assuming Miles Austin is Cut)

If the Cowboys can hit on a WR in this draft that would give them a good young WR corps going forward for the next 5-7 years..

Ideally the Cowboys could get a defensive player such as HaHa Clinton Dix or Louis Nix in round 1 and then get their WR in round 2.. Maybe they will get a WR in free agency but WR IS a need whether or not people want to admit it..

Our offense was bad this year when Teams were able to smother Dez with coverage and our other guys couldn't step up.. This draft certainly needs to be focused on defense but a receiver is a need as well this year
I have listed a group of WR's by round who I believe will be good players at the next level

Round 1 Targets: Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans

Round 2 Targets: Kelvin Benjamin, Brandin Cooks, Devante Adams, Paul Richardson

Round 3 Targets: Brandon Coleman

You can't have solid players are every position on the team. They probably just need to get a BIG developmental WR later in the draft.

No way. Maybe in the 5th, but that's about as high as I would go. Dez and T Will on the outside and then you have Witten, Beasley, Escobar, Hanna and Harris to use in the slot and TE. That's plenty of options. If you want to use a 5th or 6th on a bigger WR to use on the outside as a precaution to injury, that's fine. But its not even close to enough of a need over DE, DT, LB, S, or O Line

In today's passing game, I'm of the belief of drafting a WR in the middle rounds yearly like Pittsburgh and Green Bay try to do. That being said, Romo makes the most of whatever WR's he has AND we have so many holes. So if we can draft a guy to play third WR or a starting DT or FS, we have to take the starter.

If Pitt's Devin Street makes it to the 4th or 5th, and we have addresses our major needs, I'd take him.

This draft is very deep with WRs so no reason to go after and reach for a WR early. If the WR is BPA in the 2nd- 5th then that's who you pick but you don't skip better talent just to have a WR.

They'll look at one but they won't feel pressed because they have so many holes to fill.

I agree with you that not every position can be a strength.. But with Garrett and Romo at the helm this team will be a passing team and WR is one of the few positions that must be a strength if this team will be successful.

Not a huge fan of Devin Street but he is supposed to go in the 2nd from what I've read so far

I would also be happy to land South Carolina's Bruce Ellington but again, only if he slipped to 4th/5th round range.

That Watkins kid looks like a playmaker elite kind of guy. If he somehow dropped to our pick he looks like a "BPA" type for sure.

If they can't find ways to be creative with Escobar-Harris-Beasley-Murray-Dunbar then that is a huge problem. Now isn't the time to draft a WR, maybe 2015, but not now!!!!! You have to give Williams a chance to see how much his game grows in a year, & you are giving him absolutely no shot at developing into something more.

I dont think Benjamin makes it to round 2. Think he a ridiculous combine and regular season high light reel. Cooks has some Harvin to his game. Adams a nice all around game.

I wouldn't take one minimally in the first 4 rounds if at all...right now, another WR would be the 5th option on this team after Dez, Witten, TWill and Murray (in some order)...perhaps look at a developmental guy with one of the umpteen 7th rounders that we have

Not in the first 3 rounds. Waste of a pick.

Benjamin looks like this year's Demaryius Thomas. Superstar. Unless Sammy Watkins were to really drop, he's the only other WR I'd consider for Dallas until Day 3.

No way, TWill is the Austin replacement.
We do not need a high draft pick splitting WR3 reps with Beasley.

If a guy really falls all bets are off but WR is not a target area going in and we should grade them harshly.
