Troy Aikman retired in 2000
Tony Romo was signed in 2003

Never understood why people think we went through years and years looking for a QB

Um... Because the Quarterbacks we had between 00 and 06 when Romo first started were really THAT bad. Also we didn't get Romo thinking he's the guy let's be honest, we lucked into him. And because of that it's been harder to replace Emmitt than Troy

HOF players aren't easily replaced.

Why? It's clear he is JAG at this point.

I'd rather have Johnny. Don't know what RG3 can do at this point that Manziel can't. Both are injury prone, but at least Johnny's still capable of performing athletically. RG3 hasn't been the same. Arm talent is a toss up, RG3's a little more proven and has had more success but Manziel's shown flashes. You can give me a hard time for wanting Manziel, but I don't see how it's any sillier than RG3.

Since you point to the failure in the Aikman years, tell me what they should have done? Who were they supposed to take to address the position?

Adressing a position is not finding a replacement when somebody has to be replaced.
Its drafting players every year and bringing in new players thru FA to build competition. This is also true for the QB position.

Since JJ this franchise has not done that. Exception may be the Bill Parcells era.

Its getting better under Garrett.
