And at his pro day last year he was 6-6 273.

I can see him getting bigger through NFL conditioning, but if the Cowboys also have got a way to make him taller, they need to share that secret with players like Beasley.

We've taken more risks on defense while we've been building this offense.

Grabbing a Randy Gregory at the bottom of the second round as a possible steal is much different than taking Zack Martin in the middle of the first. David Irving went undrafted partially because of character concerns, but we picked him up because of a lack of quality options on our team at DE. Nolan Carroll was a relatively low-cost free agent signing.

Some people don't believe that you get what you pay for, but it's very often true. Sometimes you find bargains, but most of the time things that come cheap do so for a reason.

C'mon...they have a very good scouting department and a world class medical facility with top personnel. At some point, one uses logic...with young men, there is always a gamble no matter the on carpet successes in college.

For Dez being paid like a top WR, he isn't producing like other top WRs. I do not find that leading by example. Or maybe Dez just isn't a top WR and just masqueraded as one so he could get paid like one.
I think it's more they don't put him in very many situations toe get him the ball. No quick slants, rarely in slot or in motion, the routes he runs are predictable, where and when. Every other team with a receiver of Dez quality puts them in position to win matchups instead of making them fight for everything. Then wonder why he is gassed late in the game and season, hell, he spent the whole game and year fighting for everything he got.

One excerpt about one play in which our offense made a good play and suddenly this is reason for dismay?

Not sure why people are so down on Jones.
Lack of play making.

His only interception in his career was a Hail Mary. He was the victim of the play that ended our season.

A guy with his athletic ability should be making more plays than he does. But he always seems to be a step behind. A guy with his talent should have a 4 or 5 picks a year.

Overall, he has been OK. Pretty average. But he is not a playmaker.

Its not about one play in OTA's.

Hey. I'd like more splash plays as well.

But you should look past such surface level statistics.

You should also review just how many pics the top safeties usually get. Think there is a large perception vs reality gap.
