Didn't know that. In fact didn't look up anything. I just remember the guy as being a great corner on a team with a great defense. I really like Boyd.

With playoffs ongoing in high school football, I’ve had an opportunity to stand on the Texas Stadium sidelines the past few weeks. Looking over the names on the Ring of Honor reminds me again of how so many worthy Cowboys have yet to even make our own team’s Hall of Fame!

Here are a few names that came to mind of former and retired players, coaches, and (in one case) fans who merit serious consideration. Feel free to add, remove, and discuss.

Drew Pearson
Harvey Martin
Charlie Waters
Ed “Too Tall” Jones
Dan Reeves
Danny White
Everson Walls
Bill Bates
Jim Jeffcoat
Darren Woodson
Jay Novacek
Erik Williams, Mark Tuinei, and Nate Newton (like the Triplets)

In my opinion, Drew not being inducted years ago is an absolute crime. No other player should be placed in the Ring till Pearson is put in, pre or post Jerry. I think the others should eventually be inducted as well.

One thing to think about. As the years pass and with the first of Jerry's Cowboys in the Ring (Aikman, Smith, and Irvin) the less likely Jones will be to induct Landry's players.

Sometimes I think there are too many players for JJ to pick from. There are more than a few I believe deserve to be in the ROH. Do you think JJ is afraid of diluting the ROH?
