Let's face it, we're not going to post season. And it's by design. If Jerry wanted us to get to Post Season (and even better, Superbowl), you don't hire coaches and coordinators to learn on the job. If we win a game here and win a game there, great. If we lost a game here, and lose a game there, great... With the coaching situation as it stands today, I'm not going to let a win or loss effect me. If someone like Eberflush or Nolan was our DC, my post would be something different. I would be calling for their jobs but the Joneses chose to hire Parker to learn on the job, Post Season and Superbowl aren't even close to being on their radar (no matter what kind of BS Jerry tries to spew to try to make us believe that he wants to win).

Parker needs at least a full season to learn on the job. Getting upset about their losses this year is only going to effect you.

Of course I want us to make it to post season. Of course I want us to make it to Superbowl. Of course I want us to win the Superbowl. Of course it's designed for us not to be involved so I just choose not to let things like losses bother me.

So we're giving up a high draft pick by design?

I think they heard the fans and saw an opporunity to get younger, get one of the UPCOMING good minds out there that were available. Is he good (Parker) who knows, or maybe he was good with other teams due to organization goals/ team structure/players

Are you implying intentionally designed to fail?

By design? Not buying it. Cowboys spend more than any team in 2026, Jerry wants it now. This is not a rebuild or reset. Not a training camp season, this "all-in", for whatever that's worth. We have the talent to compete, just not the coaches to get us there. Fundamentals are lacking, that falls on coaches. It's not some elaborate design to help Parker get better.

I'm implying that if Jerry wants us to get to the playoffs, he's going to quit hiring coaches that make him feel comfortable and that will get us to post season. And that he'll quit trying to get rid of players that are actually helping the team... AKA Micah (and the like)? I'm implying he still doesn't know what he's doing but we all already know that. I don't think he's doing anything on purpose (in regards to players). I do think he knows what he's doing in regards to worrying more about his comfort than whether coaches can get us to playoffs.

The Dunning-Kruger effect

Yall remember drew brees and the saints had that stretch of 3 straight. 7-9 seasons and then Payton had to call the entire defense in 1 by 1 to let them know if they were cut or benched?

Thats where Dallas is

If this was by design it would at least demonstrate some weird kind of strategic capability from Jerry. But no, that's not it. That's giving him far too much credit. He just sucks at doing anything remotely competent with the football team. So this group of players and coaches that look like slop again are what you get.

So the 12 teams (6 offensive 6 defensive) who hired 1st time coordinators just decided "hey we're not going to attempt to make the playoffs" by design?
That list includes Seattle, Denver, New England, Buffalo, Baltimore, all threw in the towel with Dallas back in February.

Nothing like a loss to bring out the absurdly poorly thought out comments!
Lol!
