RB easiest plug and play position. I'd still like to see an upgrade at Safety and the one tech on D. Perhaps backup QB?

It doesn't sound like he was referring to running backs specifically.

He also said, "Not signing Chris Johnson or Ray Rice says more about the running backs we already have than anything about those two."
I just hope Rice isnt on their radar at all. Johnson I fell still has some juice left and could be a one year fix if they dont like what they see in camp. Rice would be Eddie George II.

Id like to see them look at swing DT's. Guys that can play both the 1 and 3

They have hinted several times since the draft that they were open to making a move

Something to watch, Gurley passed his physical and will open camp healthy. I could see Tre Mason being available via trade by the end of camp

Would like that.. Or Crowell from the Browns.

Knile Davis could be a possibility but i'd imagine KC would want more of a premium pick.

Id like to see us pick up Cyrus Gray. I think he could surprise some people in camp

Slim pickings out there. This is our achilles heel. We need to manage the position so that no one gets hurt. If we do bring in a back it should be a bruiser type like Steven Jackson or Jonathan Dwyer (God forbid we bring another wife beater ). I'm not sure Chris Johnson adds anything to a stable made off of change of pace backs.

We should give CJ a chance. Have Dunbar and Seastrunk be special teams stars and have a three-headed monster at RB with Randle/DMC/CJ.

So carry 6 backs including a fullback?

yeah, i am sure McFadden or Randle can easily pick up where Murray, a 1,800-yard rusher, left off.

Yes. McFadden is due for an injury around week 6-8 and Randle might get caught stealing something cheap and insignificant. Can't be too careful. I mean I don't have a 53 man roster projection but I'd like to keep all those guys unless it means cutting someone that can really contribute. If we have to cut a 3rd string corner that won't see the field then so be it.
