There is no rational reason why this would be the case. The drawing power of this franchise makes no sense.

I guess they got us through the 1990s and we're just holding on stubbornly. I don't understand it, either. I spend time on here, but other than watching the games, I don't spend any money on Cowboys stuff. All my Cowboys clothes, except gifts, are old and tattered.

BS. The cash is there. He can come up with $100 million right away and that was my point. He can make any deal he wants to. Those claiming some kind of cash poor BS are just plain dumb.

100 million isn’t sitting in his checking account. He’d likely borrow it but there are lots of owners with more readily available cash. Oil and gas isn’t quick profits. He’s rich, he can get cash, but he’d rather it be making him money and right now I don’t see where we could spend that actually helps

It’s not just the Cowboys. It’s the NFL. Look at Jets are 5th wealthiest team in NFL. What have they done . Giants are top 5 too. Miami and Atlanta in top 10.

The NFL is a money making machine. The additional revenue the Cowboys generate is largely based on the biggest stadium which with averaging over 90,000 in attendance surpasses most teams by 20-25,000 a game . And Cowboys sponsors make up the rest of difference .

Really doesn’t have much to do with fans beyond just more in attendance .

Yes but you need this just to sit at the table. To buy the Dallas Cowboys today, you would need a staggering minimum of $4.65 billion in pure, upfront liquid cash. How many of those billionaires have that laying around. Not tied up in real estate, businesses, loans ect..

I read where a buyer needs 82% in equity of purchase price.

That’s not what Risen Star was saying IMO. He’s just saying they were the ones who laid the foundation .

No doubt Jethro deserves his credit including the stadium which is a huge part of why they have surpassed everyone as 20-25,000 fans a game more is a huge part of additional revenue and stadium sponsorship which he sued the NFL for.

No, the NFL money train is in motion. It’s become the largest sports entertainment entity in the US, no longer just a football league .

Success on the field decades ago drove revenue but not any longer. And not just for the Cowboys but everyone in NFL.
