Sign Mo to an incentive laden deal..........he is our best CB and will be cheap because of his history
Carr is a JAG

Love the Perry signing
McCown pass
Desean is a huge pass
Ellington pass
Paea two years too late

I would rather go for Comp picks than sign those bums...... Sign guys like JCharles that don't count as comp picks

Draft is too far away to project
Carr at least is always available. Availability is more important than skill if you never play.

Maybe 5 years ago.........he is selfish and one dimensional

I love the idea of adding a deep threat but Jackson is totally the wrong guy. And for the money it would take to sign him you could get a very solid option like Garcon or you could spend a little more and get a much better option at WR2.

Same here. Not a fan of the Jackson thing nor do I think it is even entered their minds. Other than that, it was okay. I like Cohen a lot, but wonder if the ST value is there since our third back will have to do it.

This beats the guy jumping out of a pool years ago.

Still upset we let go of Jackson. Think he could have contributed this season as a 3rd rb on the roster. The dunbar experiment is over

If the best thing you can say about Brandon Carr as a CB is that he's available, that should tell you it's time to move on.

That's akin to being set up in a blind date and your friend tells you she has a nice personality.

I dont think thats correct, but hey, id rather have 16 games out of a guy then 6. Regardless of his "ceiling" Mo's ceiling is that he cant stay healthy.

Especiallyif the plan is to free up cap space by cutting Hanna and Wilbur. Free had his moments last year but was wildly inconsistent, I don't see paying him 5 Million next year when he will be a year older.

I see plenty of reasons to cut Free and no compelling reasons to cut Hanna and Wilbur.
Free, Hanna, Wilber and AMorris are anchors......cutting them frees up 10m and not one will be missed

Free was 40th or worse for OTs
Hanna just had microsurgery..PASS
Wilber had 7 tackles for 1.5m
AMorris is a done here....should have kept DJackson last year

10m is not peanuts

Don't think what's correct? That Carr is a mediocre CB?

Shoot, drop footed Smith is probably still better than Wilber.

That being available isnt better then being good but not available.

Well sure, someone alive is probably better than someone dead.

But Carr isn't good enough that I won't take a risk on a guy in Claiborne who has a MUCH HIGHER ceiling over a dime a dozen CB in Carr.

Yeah, but his ceiling ends between game 4-8 every year, so really who cares? Carr did fine this year, we went 13-3. And mo was only part of how many of those games? Come on man.

Agree on Free and Morris, I've said that repeatedly. If Hanna can't play next year he will be cut but we haven't seen that yet and we haven't seen Dallas carry a guy out of charity if they can't play.

Disagree on WIlbur, he is solid depth for the price you are paying. He has started 16 games in his career and is a very good ST player, if you cut him you will spend the same or more to find a replacement of the same caliber.

Carr was far from a big reason we were 13-3.

You can disagree all you want, but if I can get Claiborne cheap, he's a far more viable option for me. I need talent in the secondary and will take the risk that this might be the year he plays 14 games or so over a dime a dozen CB.

I think I have found my brother from another mother.

I absolutely agree with the 4 players you want to cut.

Curious as to which of our FA's you would choose to re sign?

KD, great article and well done. There will be obvious difference of options but overall very impressive.

The changes I would make would apply to Paea as I think that we could get McClain back at the same money and like him better. Also at WR, Butler is a good option but I think I would rather see what Andy Jones could do and then a draft pick. Not a fan of DeSean Jackson and although I may be the only person that thinks this, I would sign Josh Gordon if as expected Cleveland is not going to tender him and he will be a UFA to a one year deal make it or break it contract. If rumors close to true, he pretty much has seen the light so to speak and would be better than Jackson to me.

I like the Perry option although have a feeling that Green Bay will somehow resign him then really not sure where to go other than Devin Taylor DE Detroit or Damontre Moore DE Tampa as maybe rotation guys. Like the resigning of Carr although signing Kayvon Webster CB Denver might be a very good signing also.

As to the draft, any mock is a good mock because we just don't have any idea of who will be available when we pick. Mine might look a little like this.
No. 28: Christian McCaffrey RB/WR Stanford - versatile, could line up wide, good speed, could run jet sweep, spell Zeke, Garrett type of guy
No. 60: Tim Williams DE Alabama - if Saban vets him with Garrett, then take him, he is going to fall because of off-field issues
No. 92: Adam Shaheen TE Ashland University - great hands, great blocker, good speed, small college will push him down because of competition, Witten's replacement
No. 133: Kevin King CB Washington - tall DB that can play safety also
No. 211: Julien Davenport OT Bucknell - has the tools, can he play up in competition, may take 2 years to take over RT
No. 228: Jeremy Clark CB Michigan - has great tools and size, was injured, worth the risk
No. 246: Al-Quadin Muhummad DE Miami - maybe a project but could be a super find
UDFA Fred Ross WR Mississippi - played with Dak and Dak likes him

I would sign Mo to an incentive deal- 3m base
I would sign Wilcox over Church....... 2m max though.....
I would sign a cheap Butler over TWill for the price and continuity's sake......don't want 3 new WRs

Maybe Carr if we can't get Mo but thats about it

I might break a TV if we take McCaffery at 28. And Williams will be long gone by 60. I know he has some drug issues but someone will take a flier on him.

Pretty close to what I would do.

I would re-sign
Claiborne - I would rather have a guy that misses time due to injury but plays at a high level than Carr who just let's the receiver catch the ball then tackle him.
Wilcox - Showed improvement. Still young and should be cheap
Mcfadden - IF cheap enough
Mcclain - If Cheap enough
Moore - Backup Qb
I probably don't sign either WR but if I decided I had to sign one it would be Butler at a cheap cost.

O.K. Since we agree on who to cut and who to re-sign(For the most part)

Who are you going after in the draft?

Pretty much agree across the board. I think Butler will be cheap and he's not a bad 4th or 5th WR option. Obviously though, you have a hole though at the #2 WR spot.
