If Tyler is at LG... thinking about the Eagles... where does Carter lineup? I'm trying to figure whether Tyler, Biadasz, or Martin would most lineup against Carter.

I think this is a vote of confidence in Waletzko more than it has anything to do with Tyler Smith.

There might be some element of Waletzko vs. Tyler at LT, but the bigger issue at play is that they think there's a bigger dropoff from Tyler to Farniok at LG than from Tyron to Waletzko at LT.

Long-term, I think that's the healthiest way to build your OL.

First off I can't imagine there are any Martin haters. But, even if there are, why would they not like that Smith is focusing on LG?

Some of them wanted to move Tyler to right guard to teach Martin a lesson

That is probably true but it isn't really the right comparison. Who is the better player and \ or more valuable due to position between Torrence and Schoon?

Until Schoon comes out and really does something, it's a valid question of our draft selection.

I'm not saying Torrence was the best G I have ever seen or anything ... but you could plug him in and feel pretty confident he was going to block the folks in front of him. Would have also set you up nicely to have stability & flexibility on your line.

I get the issue with the Schoon pick but who was Torrence going to start over? Unless you’re of the belief Tyron will get hurt…..

Yeah, I can't bank on Tyron is part of it. But also I believe he was probably the best player available at that moment. Not sure Schoon was .... but he could prove me wrong.
