I could see him being the target because of his potential to play guard or tackle.
Right now, Dallas doesn't know exactly what it has in Parnell. If Parnell proves to be worthy of being named the starter, Fluker could be moved inside to compete for one of the guard spots, where he'd end up as an upgrade to Bernadeau or Livings.
If Parnell struggles, then Fluker stays at tackle and starts.
This also would allow Dallas to get Free off the books (because it would have enough players capable of playing tackle) and open up some money to add a few FAs in June — to fill the positions it didn't get in the draft — without having to move other money around.
